Like everyman Jabez was born in sorrow. effects of Adam’s sin are still in us Gen 3:16. He is more honourable than his brethren. God writes down the history of different men. He emphasises the fact that some were more honourable than others.

Jabez prayer, can change the outcome of our life.His four petition are
1, Earnestness Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed Jabez longed to experience enrichment from His God. Sin and sloth hinder the enjoyment of God’s blessing.

2 Vision He asked enlarge my coast we must widen our vision and enjoy our fellowship with God and bring others into into its enjoyment

Dependence Cause that their hand might be with me man should depend on his maker.We should be dependent like a sheep upon its shepherd, a child upon its father or a Servant upon its master with “no confidence in the flesh”. We need the guiding,guarding hand of God.

4 Humility Then he desired that thou wouldst keep me from evil that it may not grieve me We must ask God to protect us from evil and evil men., so we don’t get hurt – either spiritually or physically .lord Jesus testified of the world, that it’s work are evil and He died to deliver us from it John 7:7

God granted Jabez. What he asked for and He will grant us our petition too.
