Demonstration of Spirit’s Power

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power. (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)

There are many preachers today who deliver solid messages with reference to Hebrew, Greek words, meanings, History etc.. and some preachers preach with wise and persuasive words, but they fail to demonstrate the Spirit’s power.

Their life doesn’t reflect a humble, holy lifestyle. Their messages are not given by the unction of the Holy Spirit or under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Anyone person who listens to the one preaching under the anointing of the Holy Spirit will experience God’s touch, breakthroughs while the preacher is yet preaching. Similar to the way, the Holy Spirit came upon the gathering at Cornelius’ home while Apostle Peter was preaching.

As Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:7, Do not lack any spiritual gift, we should not lack the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We should eagerly desire them.

If we give a written sermon or a chapter to an unbeliever, they can memorize and relay it more eloquently with voice modulation and examples.

What use is it, if it doesn’t demonstrate the redemptive power of the Cross, the sanctifying power of the Cross, the sustaining power of the Cross? These powers can only be demonstrated when we filled with the Holy Spirit, when we operate under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Let us eagerly desire the Fruits and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Lord Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” (Mark 16:15-18)

Let us demonstrate the Spirit’s power where ever we go.

God Bless You
