Spend time to do a self reflection through God

In this Lockdown let us spend time to do a self reflection through the washing of our hearts and minds with the Word of God, so that we don’t grieve the Holy Spirit, like Solomon who grieved God…1 Kings 11:9-10

💔As the Covid 19 Virus is increasing exponentially around the world, one wonders what is happening to all the prayers offered in the last seven months, the prayers of all the saints and their cries? God is waiting for more saints to join in. Now is not the time to stop praying, we just have to push through until we breakthrough

💔By the time we come to 1Kings 11:9-10, it is heart breaking to see how a King who had the Supreme Wisdom of God, Proverbs 4:7, who had two visitation from God, the wealthiest and the most sought after person, who built the most exquisite and elaborate temple for God, who offered up the most meaningful prayer that embodied the essence of God, could break the command of God and break the heart of God?

💔Because Solomon chose to allow his wisdom to be tainted and to be corrupted by the culture around him. The culture of worship of his foreign wives and concubines became more attractive, acceptable and accomodating. He willing and voluntarily compromised his worship of the one, true and living God. He was so comfortable with idolatry and went to any extent to please the false gods.

💔He kept his promise of building the temple to fullfill his father’s heart’s desire but failed to keep his father’s instructions to follow the commandments of God, 1 Kings 8:25. His father King David always repented wherever he broke God’s commandments, though he went through the consequences of his sin. David knew it was better to fall in the hands of God for mercy, than to have the hand of God to come upon in judgement, 2Samuel, 24:14

💔Two Divine Vision of God, 1 Kings 3:5, 9:2, didn’t cause Solomon to guard His Heart, which he wrote in Proverbs 4:23. His unguarded heart caused a differed judgement during the days of his son when the Kingdom was split apart, 1 Kings 12:16-17

💔Child of God, Remember this, unless we can love God with all our heart we won’t be able to follow Him and His ways wholeheartedly. How much have we compromised with the world? We are chosen as the radiant bride to be without wrinkles, spots and blemishes. Only through the constant washing of the word by the Holy Spirit can we be empowered to be renewed in our minds and to be conformed in His Image. Let us wake up from our sleep in this lockdown and be wise in this challenging times, Ephesians 5:14-27 & Romans 12:1-2….Amen 🙏
