Stand for the Truth

1 Kings 21: 3
And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.

Naboth’s vineyard is sharing its boundary with king Ahab’s palace.
Ahab asked him to either sell it or exchange it for a better vineyard.

The options were quite reasonable, besides it’s a king’s request. Who can deny the favor of the king? He didn’t accept the king’s request.
What is your stand if you are previliged with the king’s request?

Inheritance means truth/ salvation/ kingdom of God
Buy the truth, and sell it not (Pro23:23)
How conscious are you about your salvation!
How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation! (Heb 2:3)

Today the whole India is celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday. Have you ever thought how he became so great personality?
He knows who and what Jesus is, he read the Bible, he used the principles of the Bible to get freedom for the nation. He possessed a great name and fame. But what is the use? He didn’t accept Jesus as his personal savior. He said Bible is good, but christians are not good. He compromised with the truth when tempted by the devil for gaining name and fame.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8: 36)

At the same time like Gandhi, Sadhu Sunder Singh was also urged by the devil to compromise the truth, but he rejected the offer and stood for the truth. Today the world may not know him, but he was recognised by God.

Satan can give better worldly choices:

Naboth must be aware of life threat through the dangerous and wicked woman Jezebel – Ahab’s wife, despite that he didn’t compromise for his inheritance he denied the choice. He said “I cannot give my father’s inheritance unto you”.

Finally he has to pay his life for the inheritance. He was conspired by the wicked Jezebel to be stoned and died a miserable death.

Yes! To the world it is foolishness:
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.(1Cor1:18)

Lord Jesus Christ was also tempted by the devil, had He compromised, we wouldn’t have received such a great salvation.

By your compromises you are not only missing the eternal kingdom of God but making others also to miss it.

How many times did we sell the truth!
Dear child of God let’s not neglect this great salvation for the fleeting and deceitful monetary things.
Let’s stand and fight for the truth.

Stay blessed 😊
