Then Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel and the Lord heard him.

1 Samuel 7:9
Now the Lord had told Samuel in his ear the day before Saul came, saying

Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him commander of My people Israel, that he may save My people from the hand of the Philistines, for I have looked upon My people and their cry has come to Me.

So when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him, There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.

1 Samuel 9:15-17
We serve a living God who sees, hears and speaks. God saw the sufferings of His people, He heard the cries of His people and He spoke to Samuel asking him to anoint Saul to be the commander over His people. God sees our problems, He hears our cry and prayers and He speaks a word and the problem goes away from us, It is simply done.

God’s thoughts and ways are different and unique, His desire is to see His children prosper in every area of their lives. Saul went searching for the lost donkeys, but he ended up being the commander of Israel. Did Saul do anything to become a commander? he simply went searching for donkeys and the kingdom came running to him and he became the king of Israel.

Religion has wrongly taught many of us that we have to work for our blessings. It has wrongly taught us that we have to do something from our end to move God to bless us. The devil is a liar it has taught the church not the world the wrong thing. Religion will always teach us what we have to do for God, but it will never teach what God has already done for us, that is why in most of our churches people are wanting and waiting to do something from their end for God to move, and receive His blessings, when the truth is that Jesus has done everything for us on the Cross of Calvary and said “It is finished “. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law, sin, sickness, poverty and death, for the law He gave us His grace, for sin He gave us Salvation, for sickness He gave us His healing, for poverty He gave us His riches and for death He gave us eternal life. Every blessing in the kingdom of God is already done and finished all we have to do is see, speak, receive and possess it through faith and say thank you Jesus.

The reason why many of us don’t see, receive and possess our blessings is, because we are not good receivers. Every believer should be a good receiver. If we receive only then we can give to others. We should learn to receive love from God (He loved us first) and love Him back with the love that He has given us and share it with others. We should learn to receive forgiveness from God and forgive others. We should learn to receive His riches and share it with others. You cannot give what you don’t have first receive and then give for the glory of God. We don’t pray, read the Bible, go to church and Bible study, and practice the word to please God and then receive fron Him. We do all these because we love God, loving God should be our motto not His blessings. If we love God then we will do all that He desires from us and every blessing will simply run after us. We don’t run after the blessings the blessings run after us.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ

Ephesians 1:3
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:9
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for redeeming us from the curse of the law, sin, sickness, poverty and death, thank You for every blessing that is done and finished on the cross of Calvary, give us the grace to believe in our heart and confess with our mouth and see every blessing manifest in our lives in Jesus name we ask and pray.
