Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”

And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed a certain officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now.”

2 Kings 8:5,6.
We serve a God who is our creator, saviour, healer and restorer. The above scripture portion tells us that the Shunamite woman who had helped Elisha by making a small room for him and giving him food whenever he visited Shunem is restored back, whatever she had lost for the seven years she was away from her property and fields.

Giving introduces you to the supernatural, the Shunamite woman was a notable woman, she recognised the man of God and the double portion of anointing that rested upon Elisha ( only the faith filled and anointed can recognise and respect the anointing and anointed ) so she prepared a room and gave him food. The Shunamite woman had a problem in her life, she had no sons ( your problems will introduce you to God, His word and His miracle working power ), she met the needs of the prophet and God opened her womb and gave her a son, but after some time he died and was raised back to life by the miracle working power of God through the prophet. Walking with God is not a temporary walk, it should be a permanent walk with Him, the Shunamite woman’s faith walk started with God, when she started providing to His prophet and it was a continuous walk, her walk was filled with supernatural miracles, her closed womb was opened and she was blessed with a son and when he died God raised him back to life and God sustained her and her entire household for seven years in a time of famine in the land of the Philistines, she had to lose her property, fields and income on the property, but God changed her ending, the king appointed a special officer to help her get back her property and the income on the property for the seven years she was away ( no hard work in the fields, but she received her harvest for seven years that’s what a seed in the kingdom of God can do ).

Many in the body of Christ suffer in lack and poverty, because they don’t give to God and for the expansion of His kingdom. Believers should have a lifestyle of giving, giving opens the doors of heavens provision in our lives. Nothing leaves heaven until something moves out of our hands. The Shunamite woman gave to God and His kingdom, whenever she was in need heaven backed her and God performed miracles that she never expected and imagined. The moment any man or woman of God preaches or writes about giving to God, people get offended and label them as prosperity preachers, people don’t understand the heart of the preacher they wrongly think and say that preachers are after their money. If preachers preach about giving to God their heart is not to see people suffer in lack and poverty, but to see people blessed in every area of their lives. Give to God and see Him changing your generations forever, like David you will say ” Now in my prosperity I said I shall never be moved ” ( Psalm 30:6 ).

The Lord will answer and say to His people, Behold I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them.

The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.

Joel 2:19,24.
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, Lord we uphold every person who have sown seeds of love, time, peace, encouraging words, finances and material things in the lives of people in need, we ask of You Lord to give them a hundred fold harvest on every seed sown in Jesus name we ask and pray.
