We are called to be the Spark to ignite the Revival Fire in this Lockdown as the Remnant of God’s people, who will once again come out to go out being rooted in Christ bearing fruit because the zeal of the Lord will do it….2Kings 19:30-31

🌱In this Lockdown, we have to become the Spark Community, the Remant who will bring in the Fire of Revival where we are. God is looking for our availability and He is not looking at our limitations. He is the One who will cause the spark as long as we are developing our root system in this lockdown, to develop, grow and bear the fruit of the spirit.

🌱God has preserved us for a purpose and let us get busy with what God is saying to us through 2Kings 19:30-31, Deep Root System Below will Produce Delectable Fruit Above. This Verse has a Good Principle for our Christian Life.The principle is that you have to  make root downward before you can  bear fruit upward. Every tree has its own Root system. The strong roots will keep the tree grounded, it will draw up the water and nutrients from the ground, it will support the tree in adverse climate.

🌱Our Fruit will Reveal where our Roots are Buried and in Whom they are Hidden. Be Rooted and Built up in Christ is our Only Option in this Corona Space and Time, Colossians 2:6-7

Backdrop to 2Kings 19:30…. (also Isaiah 37:31-32)

🌱Prophet Isaiah was giving Hope for the Remnant of Judah. Isaiah foretells how the Kingdom of Judah would be like a tree cut down to a stump, but this remnant would make roots and branches again and bear fruit, Isaiah 11:1-2, 27:6

🌱In this Age of Microwave Speed Answers and Short Cut methods, we can by pass the Natural Process, by using various advanced Scientific Bio engineering technichs. This is necessary in some places to meet the consumer demands for a growing productive market to meet the consumer demands. Some plants that yield fruit within a short period, have a sensitive and short root system with a shorter life span.

🌱In our Fast Lifestyle, we too want in our Christian Life quick fixes and ready made answers. Who wants to wait for seven years for a regular coconut tree, when we can have delicious coconuts in three years? We end up with a Shallow Christian Life when we have of a Shallow Root System system. We can’t withstand the rain, wind and heat. Our lives can be Uprooted easily.

🌱Our Christian Root System can be shallow and sensitive to spiritual attacks if our roots are exposed. Our Roots should be buried IN CHRIST. We can’t see the underground root system of a tree. It is deeply buried. The Work of the Roots is Revealed in its Fruit. The taste of the fruit will reveal the quality of the soil and roots.

🌱In the Days of David, there had been a Depth to the Kingdom, in Worship, Social and Civic Life. There was Righteousness and Justice. But, the Subsequent Kings were Rotten. There was Idolatry, Corruption and Injustice. Isaiah, describes it this way, Their root will become like rot, and their blossom will blow away as dust, for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, Isaiah 5:24. Rotten root can’t produce fruit

🌱Child of God, Remember this, before we can produce the fruit of the Spirit, we have to put down roots in the Spirit. The Christian with shallow roots will not bear fruit, as Jesus teaches in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:3-9. Jesus also taught that the Word of God is the seed, Luke 11:8.

🌱Without the seed there won’t be any root or fruit. We got to plant the seed of God Word for the root to be grounded and for the fruit to manifest. We are most often watering the ground without the seed and we are expecting the result, the fruit. If our faith life is going nowhere, then we need to plant the seed of God’s Word diligently in the Lockdown

🌱I am so privileged to be part of a spark community that has been feeding the Word of God in this Lockdown, and they just celebrated 200 days of planting the seed of God into a small group of people who are being prepared to be the remanant spark once again. I am also part of this 270 days Bible group. I want to have a strong root system. How about planting these seeds in your life and watch them grow, Ephesians 3:17-19, Colossians 2:7, Galatians 5:22-23, Isaiah 3:10, Proverbs 18:23 & John15: 2.

🌱Let our Roots be Buried in Christ in the soil of His Kingdom and to bear the fruit for all season by being planted in the Water of his Word Meditating Day and Night, Psalm 1:3, Joshua 1:8 to avoid a Rotten Root System so that we can be a remant spark to be used for the global revival in this lockdown….Amen.
