Chosen Instrument

This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. (Acts 9:15)

A persecutor, a murderer, Saul- was chosen by God to be His chosen instrument.

We do not need a background, a good track record to be Chosen by God

This murderer, Saul, has a divine encounter, a supernatural vision, with our Lord Jesus and instantaneously transformed into an Evangelist, a missionary. He is sold out to Lord Jesus without any second thought.

This person creates a revival, leaves behind a great history, and an inspiration for all of us.

This person was without vision, was blinded, with no food and water for 3 days. This person was dead to his vision of killing the believers – the Christians for 3 days and dead to his flesh for 3 days- without food and water.

When this person felt like he is dead and everything in his life came to a dead end, then in that hopeless and broken situation God removes the scales off his eyes, restores his sight with a NEW VISION, the Vision of Lord Jesus, to spread the good news.

When the person gets the true vision from God, he runs with the vision. (Habakkuk 2:2)

Bible also says that, Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.(Proverbs 29:18)

Saul was perishing his life and life of believers as he didn’t have God’s vision for his life. The moment he got God’s vision, he ran with the vision without rest, without delay.

Most of us are worried about the Sauls, the persecution that is going on around the world. The groups are called by different names in different countries however, it’s the same agenda – to wipe away Christians from face of the earth.

Instead of worrying let’s start praying for God to encounter these Sauls, to be transformed into Pauls.

Lord Jesus has been revealing himself to persecutors in their dreams and visions. Sauls are being transformed radically into Spirit filled and Spirit led Pauls.

Those of us who are praying for prodigals to come back should be encouraged by Saul’s conversion to Paul. That, one day our prodigal will become a Paul soon for God’s glory.

Those of us, who want to be used by God and are worried about our past life, should be encouraged by Saul’s conversion. The God who made a Saul to Paul, who made a prostitute Rahab part of Lord Jesus’ lineage, who made a gentile widow a part of his lineage is able to make us part of His plan. No man is perfect, we are all made of dust.

Let nothing discourage us. We are His chosen generation, a royal priesthood. Let us offer our lives to God and live for HIM alone.

Let pray unceasingly for God to convert Sauls to Pauls, his chosen instruments, for His glory

God Bless You
