Beware of False Prophets
Deuteronomy 13:4 “Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him.”
God commands His people to follow Him, fear Him, keep His commandments, listen to Him, serve Him, and cling to Him.
All these actions are the result of honoring and exalting Him in our lives.
Israel was instructed to not let a deceiver succeed in leading them away from the correct path. .
No matter how attractive the deception, they were to keep focused on a faithful walk with God according to His truth.
Scripture is very clear about our need to honor God.
The Bible tells us that whatever we do, do it for God would be glorified.
God is not pleased if we praise Him at church but not at our workplace.
When we have our meals, or clothing we wear, the way we speak, we should honor him in all ways.
He expects us to honor Him completely, with our words, with our actions, with our life.
If we honor Him, He will honor us.

💡 Thought for the day💡
Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and stiffen your necks no more.
God’s ultimate focus is on our Heart! All the careful laws and regulations are just aids to train our heart and mind towards our Loving Father.
How to circumcise the Heart?
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds
📖 Keep feeding the soul with God’s word. 📖
Beware of False Prophets
Verse of the day 📜
If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. – Deuteronomy 13: 1-3
Deuteronomy 13:3 clearly says, “God is testing you.” The test is of course not for God to find out something about you that He doesn’t already know, but for you to know, in your own heart, “whether you love the LORD your God.” The testing of our hearts can be very revealing. We often don’t even know what’s truly in us until it’s tested. And when it is we can see if we really love the God of truth, or if we are only looking for some new religious experience. It is all part of God’s plan to grow and conform us into the image of His Son.
Counterfeit prophets have arisen in each and every generation. Some are so obvious as to be ridiculous and almost laughable. However, there are many who are more subtle and dangerous, and must be taken very seriously. These are the false prophets that at first blush seem to be speaking about the Kingdom of God we know and love. But be careful; they will harm your relationship with God.
How can we know today if a person claiming to be a prophet or miracle worker is in fact from God? We simply ask ourselves, “Does what they say line up with what God has already said in the Scripture?” We need to exercise care and ask God for discernment as we examine the message of a spiritual leader. We must look at the message instead of any spiritual experience present.
When we seek the gift more diligently than the face of God, we open ourselves up to spiritual deception. God is saying quite clearly that signs and wonders can never be the final evidence of truth. This can be frustrating for us because we want to see, we long to sense, the moving of God in our lives. Most of us wish to have a supernatural experience each time we fellowship with Him. God does want us to have a spiritual experience but not necessarily one filled with signs and wonders.
Heavenly father thank you for the word you have given us. Lord, we do seek a personal encounter with You. Be present in our lives today and help us to give Your love away to a dying world. Lord keep us away from false prophets and preachers who lead people away from God. Help us understand your Word with clarity so we can ensure the messages heard about our Lord is true,
In Jesus name we pray,
A lost sheep found by Jesus 🐑 ✝️
