Jesus – The Banner of Victory

Deuteronomy 20:4
For the LORD your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

We read much of wars, blood shed, enemies, victories and defeats etc….
In all these things we should understand the mind of God.

The  old testament is a raw material and the new testament is a finished product.
If you don’t know how to convert the sugarcane into sugar, the paddy into rice, wheat into flour, then the cane, the paddy and the wheat will remain a burden for you.
Before conversion no raw is desirable.

We come across a group (non Christians) saying “Bible is full of wars”, another group of people would say “why somany wars?”, one more group “what does these wars mean?”

Wars are are very much needed in our life. No enemy no war. Wars will decide victories or defeats.
But ours is different, not with flesh and blood.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.(Eph 6:12)
The wars in the Old Testament is a shadow of spiritual warfare in the New Testament.

Every child of God has a war.
The enemy is satan.
We have to fight against the sin, sickness and death.

The attack of the enemy against Samson was against his high calling. He knew very well that he was raised up by God to destroy the Philistines. However, despising his great high calling, he gave room to lust and loved a Philistine girl, and she, in turn, betrayed him. How sadly he lost his great high calling and died with the Philistines!

How sad it is that many who are called to Zion and New Jerusalem are losing their vision and perishing miserably in this world! In times of trials, don’t forget your high calling. With St.Paul, let us also say, “None of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus” (Acts 20:24).

But the truth is that the spiritual battle is a finished battle. The Lord Jesus Christ has already granted us victory on the Cross of Calvary.
All that we have to do is claim the victory, experience the victory and celebrate the victory.

Victory in the Blood of Jesus!
Victory in the name of Jesus!
Victory through the anointing of the Holy Spirit!

Stay Blessed 😊
