God’s promise to the people

๐Ÿ“ฃ Praises to God ๐Ÿ“ฃ
After the great victory Moses and Miriam praised God and sang a song saying: The Lord is my strength and song and has become my salvation. The Lord is a warrior and your right hand shattered the enemy. The enemy boasted but God’s hand destroyed them and sank them in the mighty waters.

O Lord you are majestic in holiness awesome in glory, working wonders. In your unfailing love and strength you will redeem and guide your people. By the power of your arm you will bring your people into the Promised Land. The Lord will reign forever and ever. Mariam with all the women danced and sang with tambourines.

๐Ÿ”‰ Grumbling followed Praise ๐Ÿ”‰
In a place called Marah they could not drink the water which had become bitter . The people GRUMBLED against Moses. Moses cried unto the Lord. The Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw the piece into the water and the water became sweet. GOD’S PROMISE TO THE PEOPLE : I AM THE LORD THAT HEALS YOU.

๐Ÿš Manna & Quails ๐Ÿš
The Lord was mightily protecting His people yet the Israelites murmured continually. They GRUMBLED for food and God rained down food from heaven called Manna. They had to gather as much as they needed for one day. Only on the 6th day they had to collect a double amount for the Sabbath Day as well. God provided this manna for 40 years as long as they were in the desert.

The people also murmured for flesh to eat. Moses said: your murmurings are not against us but against the Lord. God was so compassionate towards them though they were so ungrateful and provided quails in abundance in the evenings.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Water from Rock ๐Ÿ’ฆ
At a place called Horeb there was no drinking water. Again the people GRUMBLED against Moses. God asked Moses to take his rod and strike the rock. The Lord stood by the rock. As Moses struck the rock water gushed out of the rock to satisfy thousands of people and animals.

๐Ÿ”… The LORD Fought the Battle ๐Ÿ”…
At Rephidim the Amalakites attacked the Israelites. Joshua fought this battle. Moses Aaron and Hur went up the hill. As long as Moses held up his hand, the Israelites were winning. As he lowered his hand the Amalakites were winning. So Moses sat on a stone and Aaron and Hur held up his hands up till sunset. So Joshua was able to overcome the Amalakites. Moses built an Alter and called it, The Lord is my banner. JEHOVAH NISSI.

ใ€ฝ๏ธ Think it Over ใ€ฝ๏ธ
Our problems that seem like a mountain for us melts like wax in God’s sight. Still we murmur and are filled with anxiety and murmur like the Israelites did. Our God is a miracle working God. Let us live our lives joyfully trusting in our Faithful God who always perfects that which concerns us.
