Women’s Wing ๐ŸŒน

Amid the talented large group of men working for the making of the Tabernacle there was a small team of women who did what they could for the building of the Lord’s house.

๐Ÿงถ The Spinning Women ๐Ÿงถ
๐Ÿ“– All the women who were gifted artisans spun yarn with their hands, and brought what they had spun, of blue, purple, and scarlet, and fine linen. And all the women whose heart stirred with wisdom spun yarn of goats’ hair (Ex 35:25, 26).

These women were gifted artisans. They spun yarn of blue, purple and scarlet with their hands. Moreover the Bible says that women whose heart were stirred with wisdom spun yarn.

A great deal of skill is needed to spin meticulously. There were women in the Israelite camp who were filled with special talent and divine wisdom to do their part in the making of the Tabernacle. Yet they remain insignificant as their names are not individually mentioned in the Bible.

Perhaps you may be serving the Lord in your own little way. You remain insignificant and unknown. Don’t worry. God knows and sees your ministry. He will reward you though you remain anonymous.

๐Ÿ•๏ธ The Serving Women ๐Ÿ•๏ธ
The Bible also mentions about the serving women who gave their mirrors for making of the bronze basin and its bronze stand.

๐Ÿ“– He made the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting (Ex 38:8).

The Egyptian and Israelite women had the habit of carrying their mirrors with them wherever they went. The mirror was an important ornament for them.

Even during those days there were women who served at the entrance of the tabernacle of the congregation. They gathered to worship the Lord and hear His word. These women had mirrors that were made of metals. And they gave their mirrors for the making of the bronze basin. But none of their names are recorded in the Bible.

From ancient ages women were interested in seeking God and they had a deep yearning to serve Him. The New Testament clearly mentions that there were women who ministered to Jesus with their wealth (Mt 27:55; Lk 8:2,3). Women always had a significant role to play in serving God.

Dear Ones in Christ, God has endowed women with specific talents so that they will be useful in His kingdom. It is He who gives the ability, skill and talent to spin, stitch, do embrodiery, cook, bake and decorate. If you have this inclination and talent thank God for selecting you for this purpose. Use your talents to glorify His name. And it is God who stirs our heart to be a cheerful, liberal giver. There are several ways to serve Him. Prayerfully seek His help to find your sphere of ministry.

God bless us to be channels of blessings.

๐Ÿ”… The Instructions ๐Ÿ”…

Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and gave them various instructions. God had commanded that the Sabbath was a day of rest so no work had to be done on that day.

๐Ÿ”… Free Will Offerings ๐Ÿ”…
All the Israelites had to bring as free will offerings all the materials needed for the construction of the Sanctuary like yarn, fine linen, goat hair, ram skin oil, acacia wood, gold, silver, bronze, precious stones and spices. They had given more than enough. All those who were skilled came forward to make every thing the Lord had commanded for the sanctuary and also the sacred garments of the priests.

๐Ÿ”… The Tabernacle ๐Ÿ”…
Following the instructions and commands of the Lord the skilled workmen used the materials given as free will offerings. the Ark, the Table, the Lamp Stand the Altar of Incense, the Altar of Burnt Offerings, Basin for Washing, the courtyard, the Priestly Garments, the Ephod and the Breast Plate were carefully and skillfully made and completed.

๐Ÿ”… Tabernacle Inspected ๐Ÿ”…
Following the commands of the Lord the Israelites completed the Tabernacle and the Tent of Meeting. Moses blessed them for their sincere work.
