Ezekiel 28:1-19

THE BLESSING 🍇
📌 The Lord has blessed the nation of Tyre. Its king was immensely wealthy and powerful, and its island fortress had never been overthrown. The king had used his skill in trading to amass great wealth (v 5)

📌 The king was indeed wise and beautiful (v 12); His city was like Eden, the garden of God (v 13a). Unlike Adam, who was naked, the king of Tyre was clothed and decorated with precious stones (9 precious stones found on the priest garments v 13a, Exo 28:17-20)

📌 The Lord has anointed the king as a guardian cherub and to guard God’s holy place (v 14). He was blameless (v 15)

THE FALL 🌚
🎯 The king of Tyre thought that he was wise as Daniel and consider himself to be god (v 2-3)
🎯 But he was involved in sin and violence (v 16)
🎯 The king became proud of his beauty and corrupted the God-given wisdom (v 17)
🎯 He deserted his paradise with dishonest trade (v 18)

THE JUDGEMENT ♨️
The Lord will burn him like he did to Jerusalem and his end will be horrible (v 18-19).
Tyre, represented by its king, will fall from its glory.

THE LESSON 📝
✅ Count your blessings and give thanks to Him – our Jehovah Jireh.
✅ When we are tempted to be proud of our wealth or successful ministries, we should remember the fall of the king of Tyre.

Jesus said:
“he who stands FIRM to the end will be saved” Matthew 10:22; 24:13
