🚸 The Departure 🚸
Journeys are interesting, exciting and fascinating. The whole family is thrilled with the preparation and packing. But to leave the familiar place and friendly people and go to another country has its own ups and downs.

🚸 God told Abram to get out of his country, family and father’s house to the land He will show. If Abram leaves everything as God told him, then he would be a blessing. It was a conditional blessing. It is not an easy task to come out of our comfort zone. It is difficult to venture into the unknown just trusting God alone.

🧭 Abram’s friends and relatives would have asked him where he was going. Wonder what Abram told them! It was an unknown path for him. Traveling during those days was not an easy task as there were no GPS to guide them. Abram’s eyes and ears were open to hear from God. It was a journey undertaken in faith. Christian life is an journey of faith. Like Abram our eyes and ears are always to be on God for His direction.

⚠️ Abram never questioned God why he should leave everything and go to an unseen, unknown land. God told him to leave everything and he left. Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him (Gen 12:4).

🚸 Abram’s faith life started with an implicit obedience. Have we ever tried leaving something when God asks us to leave? Have we undertaken a journey solely relying on God? If God asks us to do something it is good to trust Him and obey.

💠 God never gave the entire blue print of his journey. Abram never knew what was in store for him. Dear ones in Christ God may not show all that is going to happen in our life. But He expects us to trust Him and obey Him.

📖 Reading the Bible in 270 days is a spiritual journey. We don’t know the full outcome of reading His word systematically. But as we read in faith, slowly His plans and purposes in our life will be unfolded. So be encouraged to continue this precious journey.
