God’s judgment is never delayed

GOD, the Lord, is my strength

Habakkuk 3:19 “The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.”

This from the last verse of the prophecy of Habakkuk.

In the book of Habakkuk, we understand that Habakkuk’s situation was out of his control, and the fear that he felt terrified him.

He lived in times that were hard on faith.
He saw the righteous suffering and the wicked prospering.
He asked God the two questions we often ask: “Why?” and “How long?”
…… Why are these things happening? How long will it be before they are rectified?

Habakkuk realized that ….
………….. though he did not understand God’s ways or timing,
……………. he could not doubt God’s wisdom, love, or reliability.

Then Habakkuk wrote his great affirmation of faith.

Faith believes that God always knows best and does best in His time.

When we try to impose our timetable on God, we get into trouble.
We have times of trials. When we are faced with difficult circumstances—sickness, family crisis, financial trouble—we, too, have only to place our faith and trust in God.

In the above verse Habakkuk recognizes the Lord as His strength: “GOD, the Lord, is my strength.”
He did not place his confidence and faith in his circumstances, ability, or resources, ……
……………… but in the goodness and greatness of God.

This is the Lord’s promise to us.
God is here for us, too. He will never leave us. He cares too much for us.

Even when we can’t see the hand of God, we can trust the heart of God.

Will we trust him?
Even if you don’t understand why, will we trust him?

  • Trust Him because we know that He knows why.
  • Trust Him because He knows the time and the length of suffering.
  • Trust Him without explanation, logic and reasoning.
  • Trust Him because He is God.

🔵 God’s judgment is never delayed🔵

Takeaways:
Habakkuk 3:1; O Lord, I have heard of what you have done, and I am filled with awe. Now do again in our times the great deeds you used to do. Be merciful, even when you are angry.

🕥 Better late than never 🕐
Psalms 27:14;Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

Habakkuk complained to the Lord because he was tired of seeing injustice around him. He called upon the Lord to hasten His judgement. To his plea God replied that He has made a weapon ready for bringing about His justice, the Babylonians would be used as a weapon for bringing God’s justice. God’s justice is not delayed, we may feel so because we assess everything with our worldly standards. He knows when justice should be rained upon people’s lives.

🏹 Weapon for justice🏹
Jeremiah 51:20; “You are my war club, my weapon for battle– with you I shatter nations, with you I destroy kingdoms

We may feel that evil is winning, that bad people, bad nations are flourishing. But in all this chaos one is extremely important to be remembered, ANYTHING/ANYONE CAN BE USED AS A WEAPON TO BRING ABOUT JUSTICE BY GOD. Sometimes the increasing prosperity of evil is just fattening of a sacrificial bull, the fatter the bigger the impact. Don’t be discouraged God is not letting injustice prevail. Just stick to God, Have faith .

🙇‍♂️ Look for the new thing🙇‍♀️
Isaiah 43:18-19; But the LORD says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already—you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.

God has done miracles in the past, our existence itself is no less than a miracle, the planets staying in its places, the earth holding up, the trees giving air everything is miraculous, the sun the moon the rain the wind all come at the right time all these are miracles. Also, God walking as a cloud during the day and fire during the night, parting the sea everything has been miraculous. But God says don’t cling to the past because He will create more miracles He will bring justice again, He will come and help, He will be glorified. Even you will witness miracles. Have faith. Talk with the Lord constantly, tell Him your fears, your pain, your happiness and share your life with God.
Ask for His Spirit, His companionship and His Grace.

🧎‍♀️ He makes all things beautiful in His time
