Intuition – having a direct sense in spirit

Haggai 1

❇️ Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah and the spirit of Joshua, the high priest and the spirit of the whole remnant of the people (v14)

❇️ Priest speaks to God on behalf of the people and Prophet speaks to people on behalf of God. Zerubabbel, Joshua and the remnants of Israelites obeyed the voice of God which came to them through Prophet Haggai (v12)

❇️ In the above verse we see the Lord stirring up the spirits of Zerubbabel, Joshua and the people of Judah which is an effective Spirit to spirit communication God employs to draw people’s attention to do what is important for him.

❇️ Human spirit is composed of three parts: conscience, intuition and fellowship .

▪️ Conscience is for us to discern right from wrong, to justify or to condemn (Rom.9:1).
▪️ Fellowship is for us to contact and to commune with God (Jn.4:24).
▪️ Intuition is to have a direct sense or feeling in our spirit regardless of reason or by circumstance(1 Cor.2:11 & Rom.8:16)

❇️ God stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, Joshua and the people for building the God’s temple despite the circumstance and hostile reactions of Tattenai, governor of Trans-Euphrates and other officials (Ezr.5:3) and the temple was built against all odds.

❇️ This is a big learning for us to be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit who gives the direct sense in our spirit (Rom.8:16) when we meditate and pray God’s word which also keeps our conscience clear and our fellowship active with the Lord.

❇️ Reading the word of God, reflecting, memorizing and praying the word of God daily will enable us to keep in step with the Spirit of God (Gal.5:25) in order to receive the direct sense in our Spirit.

✅ Insights learnt:
▪️ Our spirit is composed of
Conscience, Fellowship and
Intuition

▪️Intuition is having a direct
sense in our spirit

▪️God the Holy Spirit connects
with human spirit to give
direct sense.

▪️Reading, reflecting, praying
and memorizing the word of
God help keep our Intuition
active.

CONSIDER YOUR WAYS
(Haggai 1 & 2)

🌈 God can do things alone , but he is delighted when his people take part in his works. It depends on how we prioritise our daily routines. Considering this, Haggai reminded the people to Give Careful Thought to Your Ways a number of times (1:5,7; 2:15,18) .

🌈 God had provided:
✅ Leaders who could meet the leadership and spiritual needs of his people.
✅ The Priest would represent the people before God .
✅ The Prophets would proclaim the Word of the Lord to the people.
✅ The People are to listen to His command and obey them.
1️⃣ This is the first area for us to Consider our ways. Are we faithful?

🌈 God message was clear and directed to Zerubbabel the governor and Joshua the high priest :- “the work on the Temple was stopped for more than 14 years, and the people are saying that it is not the time to rebuild the Temple. The people are living in their paneled houses but the Temple remains in ruin “.
2️⃣ This is the Second area for us to Consider Our Ways to put our talents, treasure and time for the incomplete work of world evangelization.

🌈 The Lord ensures that the Ruler (Zerubbabel) , the Priest (Joshua) and the Prophet (Haggai) are all in agreement with the message of the Lord. Such unity among the leadership encourages the People to obey too (1:12- 14)
3️⃣ This is the Third facts that encourage us to Consider Our Ways in our church and in missions. The need of the hour is the UNITY AMONGST THE BELIEVERS.

📌The Israelites are to ask the priests about the Ceremonial Laws : consecrated meat and touching of dead bodies (2:11-13) Sin defiles every part of life , including offerings and work for the Lord (2:14)
4️⃣ This is the Fourth call for us to Consider Our Ways to be upright in thoughts, deeds and words. The Lord delights in upright living according to his word and in broken and contrite hearts, which are true sacrifices (Ps 51:15-17)

📌 When the people living in their comfort zone do not obey Him , the Lord will not prosper their crops @ blight , mildew and hail (2:16-19). But if they return to Him, He promises to give them a new beginning from the Day 1 (2:19)
5️⃣ This is the Fifth Call for us to Consider Our Ways to introspect and to repent. God is willing to forgive and forget our sin. The many kinds of produce – seed, vine, figs, pomegranate olive are the metaphors of the variety of SPIRITUAL FRUIT available for those who honour and obey the Lord 🍇

🌈 The Lord said that :
✅ He will shake the heavens and the earth (2:21)
✅ He will destroy the most powerful nations and end their economic and military oppression (2:22)
📝 But His children will dwell in the unshakeable kingdom along with the One who is authorised to rule (2:23)
6️⃣ This is the Sixth and final call for us to Consider Our Ways to stand firm in faith no matter what forces/ pandemic shakes the world. For Christ is our refuge and strong wall of fire around us 🔥 Zec 2:5

💕 Beloved Church, the lesson for us here is that when God assigns a work for us in His body of believers, we should diligently do it with all sincerity, and continue it with perseverance till it is completed .

Glory to God 🙌
