Pride is a condition of the heart

Isaiah 2:17: “The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, / And the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; / The LORD alone will be exalted in that day

The book of Isaiah, could be considered a miniature Bible.

There are 66 books of the Bible, and Isaiah has 66 chapters.

The Bible divides between the Old and the New Testaments, and Isaiah divides into two halves.

The Old Testament has 39 books, and the first division of Isaiah has 39 chapters.

The New Testament has 27 books, and the second half of Isaiah has 27 chapters.

This book contains the prophecies of Isaiah, the son of Amoz.

Isaiah son of Amoz is often thought of as the greatest of the writing prophets.
His name means “The Lord saves.”

In the above verse we read that, Proud men will be brought low; arrogant men will be humiliated; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

Pride is a condition of the heart.

“Arrogance of heart” is the great issue facing our world today. .
Our pride can block some great relationships from forming and developing.

God looks with great kindness and compassion on those who are humble and contrite, but He will not share His throne or glory with the proud.

It never goes well for people who harbor spiritual pride.

Spiritual pride is something the church must battle continually, both corporately and as individuals.

It is something we must be diligent to root out of our midst by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The great question that confronts every person is: ………
… Who rules in our heart?
Have we made Jesus the Lord of our life, or is our life directed by self and personal preference?

Isaiah 3:10. Tell the righteous it will be well with them ,for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds

It is not easy to live like a Christian in a hostile world Isaiah knew what it meant to live in a society where the words and deeds of the people are against everything God stands for.But the lord had a word of encouragement for the Jews of Isaiah’s day and for you.Tell the righteous it will be well with them.Doing good ,one can feel worthless, but God will make sure you see good results but warns the wicked. that things will finally go badly for them.Although this may not appear ro be so immediately,it will be so finally.
