SHALOM IN THE DESERT & WILTED LAND
๐Ÿ“– Isaiah Chapter 35

Today’s reading passage is a picture of Shalom – a picture of health and peace for humankind, the animal world and the earth. The desert and the parched land (Isaiah 24:4-7; 32:12-13) will become fresh and fertile like the glory of Lebanon and the splendor of both Carmel and Sharon (v 1-2).

The desert would be carpeted with Crocus (spring flowers) and shaded with Cedar (great trees/glory of Lebanon) because the Lord is to pass through this way (“.. your God will come.. ” v 4) . And the people will see the glory and splendor of the Lord (v 2b)

๐Ÿ“Œ It was planned and intended – a Restoration of Relationship. The God of the Bible is a God of Relationship. God is not solitary, nor is God isolated or distant from creation. We humans are who we are only in relation – to God, to other people and to the nonhuman world.

๐Ÿ“ The Restoration will includes (v 5-10) :
1๏ธโƒฃ Blind will see ๐Ÿ‘€
2๏ธโƒฃ Deaf will hear ๐Ÿ‘‚
3๏ธโƒฃ Lame will walk ๐Ÿ‘ฃ
4๏ธโƒฃ Dumb will speak ๐Ÿ—ฃ
5๏ธโƒฃ Desert will produce brooks and meadows
6๏ธโƒฃ A Highway will be prepared where only the “redeemed will walk”

๐Ÿ“Œ The God we worship – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is the Lord of all creation. God created all things in love, and that same God of love is making all things new through the redeeming work of Christ and the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit. The shalom of God extends to the entire creation .

๐Ÿ’ž Beloved Church, let not our hearts be in trouble. The Lord will restore our desert and parched land to bloom and prosper.

What a joy it would be when we walk on this Way of Holiness , and enter Zion by singing praises to Him ๐Ÿ™Œ

Glory to God ๐Ÿ™
