Trust God

Jeremiah 32:14 This is what the lord Almighty the God of Israel says. Take these documents, both the sealed and unsealed copies of the deed of purchase and put them in a clay jar so that they will last a long time.

It made no sense to buy land when the Babylonian army was set to take. the country. But God told Jeremiah to do just that and Jeremiah obeyed. Although he is a poisoner in the palace courtyard, Jeremiah buys the land to demonstrate that God intends His people to return from exile and rebuild Jerusalem. Jeremiah asks Baruch to safeguard the land’s purchase deed in a clay jar.

Jeremiah’s secured documents gave him the right to reclaim his land after the exile. Jeremiah was buying the land in preparation for a return from captivity that noone could humanly foresee.

Do we trust God? Despite all the problems, God’s people faced, our Lord is all powerful. Nothing -not a thing is too difficult for Him.
