Why does the way of the wicked prosper?

Jeremiah 12:1 You will be righteous, LORD, even if I bring a case against You. Yet, I wish to contend with You: Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all the treacherous live at ease?

Here we see that Jeremiah had questions for God.
Why do the wicked prosper?
Why do they continue without God doing anything?

They are placed in the positions they are in by God.
They take root, which means they become established.
They even grow successful in how they operate.

Jeremiah is obviously talking about us today.
We said all the spiritual things, but God was absent from our minds.

Why doesn’t God do something about this evil?
He asked God, Why does the way of the wicked prosper?

Bringing questions to God is reasonable, but he did so in an appropriate way – first recognizing and submitting to Gods’ righteousness.

He wants God to explain to him why the way of the wicked is prospering.

When things go wrong, or when life gets too heavy to handle, I think it’s human nature to ask God for answers.

Questions are a natural part of life.
Bible is filled with people asking answers from God. And amazingly, God doesn’t seem to mind.

We have all had times and we are tempted to say, “God, if you really love me, why are you allowing this to happen to me?”

Even if we know the theological explanations, they bring no comfort in a hospital room or a funeral home.
We want down-to-earth answers, not textbook theories.
We want to know why our own life is so miserable.

Remember, When we ask “Why Me?” …..
………….. we make our circumstances more important than GOD.

Whatever our circumstances are,……………
… trust that we are planted and sustained by the hand of God.

We are ………..
Chosen to walk in the light of Christ
Chosen for ministry
Chosen to be the best
Chosen to worship..
