I can’t be quiet! I am angry and bitter

Job 7:11 “I can’t be quiet! I am angry and bitter. I have to speak

Job, in this chapter, described his physical condition in painful terms.
When Job finally broke his silence he first spoke about God.

Here we can see that Job was brutally honest with God: “I can’t be quiet! I am angry and bitter. I have to speak”

He goes on expressing the bitter sense he had of his calamities and to justify himself in his desire of death.

Now, after receiving really bad consolation and advice from his friends, he speaks directly to God.

Job has no idea why this is happening to him, he knows that his own sin is not the cause, he knows that he has been faithful, but he doesn’t have any way to fix his sorrow and pain.

So.. he does not hold back his emotions.
He does not pretend otherwise.
He shared all his feelings with God.
He was speaking directly to God as an act of faith.

When life goes wrong, our hearts are often filled with all sorts of thoughts and emotions — anger, confusion, despair, anxiety, sadness, and so much more.

We might wonder, can we really say this to God?
Some might think that if we express our emotions to God, we aren’t trusting God!!!
But.. remember..
Our cries demonstrate our trust in God.

Our God invites us to be brutally honest with Him, especially when bad things happen in our life.

God Knows everything that is in our heart.
Where in our life do we feel utterly alone?
Are we in a place where no one seems to understand us?

Sometimes when we express our deepest feelings to a friend or someone very near, they feel uncomfortable and can offer no comfort. This may leave us feeling embarrassed, which only adds to our distress.

So …. dear friends, …
Learn to trust Jesus with our very deepest emotions before sharing them with others.

Sharing our concerns and even our deepest emotions with Jesus in prayer— who strengthens us emotionally.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3–4:- “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
