A man reaps what he sows

A man reaps what he sows Galatians 6:7
In Judges chapter 1 we come across a cruel Canaanite king Adoni-Bezek.Men of Judah caught him, and cut off his thumbs and big toes. Then Adoni- Bezek said Judges 1:7 ”seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off have picked up scraps under my table. Now God has paid me back for what I did to them”. Mutilating captives was very common in those days. Loss of the thumb would make a man unfit to handle a sword or a bow. Loss of the big toes would impede his speed. More over he made them pick up their food under his table-an act of barbarous inhumanity. It appears by his own confession that he was justly treated by God as he had treated his captives. Adoni-Bezek realized his mistake, confessed and accepted the judgement but never humbled himself or asked for forgiveness to the almighty .

Mathew 7:1,2 says” Do not judge or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you”. Also Mathew 7:12 says” So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the prophets.

But for us who are saved by the blood of Jesus gets Mercy at the throne of Judgement if you are merciful. James 2:13 says ”Judgement without Mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgement.”
As in Galatians 6:7-10, ”A man reaps what he sows. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers “

Dear Lord fill us with the fruits of The Holy Spirit so that we can share the Love, Joy, Peace and Mercy to our fellow beings .

Stay blessed.
