📖 Judges 10 : 6–10
SIN IS CONTAGIOUS

Earlier the Israelites have served only one god – Baal ( Judges 8:33 ). Now they have brought in a good number of gods and goddess from every nation that bordered Israel to worship and to serve :
1) Ashtoreths
2) The gods of Aram
3) The gods of Sidon
4) The gods of Moab – Chemosh
5) The gods of Ammonites -Molech
6) The gods of Philisrines- Dagon

📌 But the Israelites did not served One – The God of Israel.

📝 Israel’s Idolatry was not a matter of one day / one time worship but it was deliberately and willingly been practiced. The phrase “The Israelites forsook the Lord and no longer served him proves the Israel’s stubbornness and disobedience.

📝 The Bible says , “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth , no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgement..” (Heb 10:26-27)

📝 The Lord became angry and handed the Israelites over to two oppressors :
⚜️ Ammonites in the east
⚜️ Philistines in the west ( v 7 ).

🔥 Israelites were oppressed for 18 years , and were in great distress (v 8- 9) .They cried out to the Lord for deliverance ( v 10,15). But the Lord rebuked them and said , ” I will no longer save you..” (v 13-14).

✝ Jesus said , “Not everyone who says to me , Lord, Lord , will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father” ( Matthew 7:21 )

💕 Beloved Church, if we are deluding ourselves with the hope that Christ will overlook our double dealings , then in times of trouble His response to our prayers shall be Away from me, you evildoers ( Matthew 7:23 )

SIN IS CONTAGIOUS ; SIN IS PAINFUL but SIN IS PARDONABLE in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ ✝️
