Win the tests of Rejection and Promotion

Judges 11:1
Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah.

Jephthah was the son of an harlot, a mighty man of Valour, a faithful and a humble man. He gave heed to the word of God.

The children of Israel expelled Jephthah out of their community because he was the son of a strange woman, so he fled away from them and dwelt in the land of Tob.
In the process of time, when the Ammonites came to war against children of Israel, they sought the help of Jephthah, they pleaded him to fight on behalf of them. Somehow he was convinced….

Here begins the character of Jephthah.
Believer should be very cautious when these two things will happen in life.

  1. Reaction at your Rejection
    2.Reaction to your Promotion

Are you rejected or humiliated because of your caste, colour, tribe, nationality, status, qualifications?
Don’t worry! God is on your side, He will exalt you in due time, exercise patience, just, it’s a matter of time…. Like how the children of God sought the help of Jephthah and made him a captain over them, all those who rejected and humiliated you will start applauding you.

Secondly, how’s your reaction to your promotion?
It is true that Jephthah was a mighty warrior, but he didn’t exhibit his abilities to fight against the enemy, he attacked the enemy firstly by sending a message to the king (see Judg 11:14 – 28) This message is nothing but the word of God.
My friend when you are promoted, never try to exhibit your talents or your abilities. Use the word of God. Let God be exalted. Live a hidden life. Hide in the cleft of the Rock – Jesus.

….Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jephthah (Judg 11:29)

God will check the hearts of His children by the tests of rejection and promotion and will reward accordingly.
If we found faithful, God will bless us with the anointing of the Holy Spirit to overcome the enemy.

Stay Blessed 😊
