Be kingdom minded *Kingdom minded people never lose * Why? * The kingdom of God backs them and they always win * Your life goes in the direction of your thoughts.

Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Oprah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.

And the angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor”.

Gideon said to Him, “O my lord, if the Lord is with us, why then has all this happened to us?. And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt?. But now the Lord has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites”.

Then the Lord turned to him and said, Go in this might of yours and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?.

Judges 6:11-14.
We serve a living God who has eyes, He sees our problems and the condition that we are in, He has ears He hears our cries, prayers and thanksgiving, He has a mouth and He speaks to us through His word, dreams, visions and sometimes directly to people and to His children, He speaks in a crystal clear and audible voice. The above scripture portion tells us that Gideon is busy threshing wheat in a wine press to hide himself away from the Midianites, and the Angel of the Lord visits him and reminds him of his strength and valor.

Gideon was a man of doubt, It took an Angel from heaven to remind him of his strength that is inside of him. Sometimes we and the people around us will not know what is in the inside of us, but heaven knows what it has deposited inside us, so the Angel of the Lord is reminding Gideon of the strength that is deposited in him, because he has forgotten about it and he is busy in hiding himself away from Midianites the enemies of Israel.

Miracles are an essential in our walk with God, when we don’t see miracles our faith level decreases and we tend to drift away from God. The reason for Gideon not believing in himself is that his faith in God is weakened, because he has not seen any of God’s miracle working power that is the reason he is asking ” Where are His miracles? “. If God and His miracle working power is there then why all this?, Why are we delivered into the hands of our enemies?.

Every believers favorite question to God is Why?, If only You are there then why all this trouble ?, Why only me Lord ?, Why not Lily Mary or Rose Mary or John David or John Peter?. Heavens answer to all these Why’s? is very simple, what God has deposited in you is going to be brought out and you are going to where others are not going. The answer to all the why’s? is ” It is finished ” the last words of Jesus on the cross. God asks Gideon to move forward in strength and deliver Israel from the hands of the Midianites, because He Has already deposited strength inside Gideon, so He says “Have I not sent you” (past tense not future tense). After a lot of persuasion and signs from God, Gideon moves forward and delivers Israel from the hands of the Midianites and the people ask him and his grandson to rule over them, but he refuses saying neither he nor his grand son will rule over them, but “The Lord shall rule over them ” Judges 8:22,23. What a humble person Gideon is, the meek shall inherit the earth.

The answer to all the why’s? of Gideon was very simple he was turned from a fearful person, hiding from the enemy and made a ruler over the people of Israel ( God’s ways and methods are different, He pulled him from the back to the front, private to public), the people only democratically voted him to be in power not for a five year term, but for a forty year term (Judges 8:28 ).

Beloved in the new covenant every believer is loaded with gifts, talents, strength, power, authority and wisdom. It doesn’t require of heaven to remind us of what is already deposited in us ” Christ in us the hope of glory “. Use your God given gifts, talents, strength, power, authority and wisdom for the expansion of his kingdom and win the lost and perishing souls in the world for Christ.

" You are your only limit "

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for the gifts, talents, strength, power, authority, wisdom and opportunities that You have given to us, give us the grace to use it with wisdom and be a light to this world and win the lost and perishing souls for Christ and be a blessing to the kingdom of God and everyone around us in Jesus name we ask and pray.
