Faith builders Luke 5:18‭

Faith
And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.

Faith builders Luke 5:18‭

This story we all know about healing of man sick of palsy.
When Jesus was teaching on a certain day this incidence occurs a man who was sick of palsy was bought at the place by few men trying to see a way that they could get him to Jesus in the midst of the crowd. Who were these men ? Where they friends or family to the man who was was sick and why would they seek to get in. We don’t know about it but sometimes in our faith journey, there are times when we are troubled, sick, facing issues but there are few people who encourage and build our faith and support us in the midst of our situation and point us back to Jesus and build our faith in him.
Going extra miles in faith for someone else, as we can see in the next verse,
Luke 5:19
“And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.”
This faith life is all about loving each other and encouraging them to be the best version of themselves. Sometimes people or family members go extra miles to support us and to encourage us and sometimes prayers of these people kept us going on. Finding a way and giving a counsel from the word and building us up and helping us to get back to God when we are backsliding. They are spiritual mentors who help us to get back to Christ. Soo many Saved people pray for their unsaved parents, friends and others so they can find true love of God and accept Jesus as their Lord and savior. They are so persistence in sharing, encouraging and telling the truth so even thought how hard it is, they can find Christ they are keep on pressing on.
And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
Luke 5:20
When Jesus saw their faith said to the sick of palsy man, thy sins are forgiven. God see the persistence of people praying for other to be saved and find Jesus in their live. He sees every tears someone cried for their friends, family and others, he does the miracle and reaches their heart due the faith they kept. We should always surround ourselves with people who build our faith and for the non- believers we should not hate them but pray for them as we ought to encourage others towards Christ. We should be grateful that we are saved, it must be on someone’s prayer or they were secretly encouraging us in our journey of faith. As Paul wrote in Romans 1:11 -12 and
“I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong— that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.” Let us build others and be built in faith.

Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed

We read that large crowds came to Jesus and were healed of their sickness. What did Jesus do? He would often slipped away into the wilderness to pray. He would slip away to get alone with His father to pray.

When the Holy spirit descended upon Jesus at Jordan, He was praying 3:21. He spent the night praying before choosing the 12 disciples 6:12 Judas Iscariot was not a crook when Jesus chose him.He was sincere as other disciples. 6:16: says Judas became a traitor later.

He was praying in private before He asked His disciples, who do the crowds say I am?. At His transfiguration, He climbed the mountain to pray 9:28, the actual transfiguration occured while He was praying.9:28

He was praying just before He taught His disciples the Lord’s prayer 11:1. In Gethsemane, He prayed more earnestly 22;44. On the cross He prayed for others23:34, last words Jesus uttered before His death was a prayer
23:46

Luke also records Jesus prayed after His resurrection 24:30. So get alone with God and pray
