..GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS.. Matthew 28:19.

Jesus after his resurrection, appeared to His disciples on the mountain at Galilee. Jesus gave the great Commission to His disciples and they obeyed Him by taking the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

A. The Great authority. Mt.28:18

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
God the father, gave the supreme authority over everything to Jesus. A traffic policeman controls the traffic with the authority he got from the government. He doesn’t have authority to conduct a surgery in a hospital. A surgeon has got the authority to conduct a surgery on a patient, but no authority to control traffic on the road. Jesus has got the authority over everything in heaven and on earth. With that authority, He gave the command.

B. The Great Command. Mt.28:19,20a.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20a.

a. GO.

Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Mark 16:15.

b. Make disciples of all nations.

For people to become disciples of Jesus, they should believe in Jesus, by understanding the gospel but before that somebody should preach the Gospel to them. Somebody should go to them…(please study Romans 10:13- 15.

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”. Romans 10:13. There is no partiality. Salvation is available to everyone, irrespective of their religion, caste, creed, sex, education, colour,… It is available free. We don’t need to do anything other than believing. We don’t need to give anything other than our heart. It is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2: 8.

c. Baptizing them

As a sign of their union and commitment to Christ.

d. Teaching them to obey everything

For people to become real disciples of Jesus, they should be taught properly about the faith and about what is involved in becoming a Christian. The quality and quantity of the teaching play a crucial role for a new believer to grow as a good disciple of Jesus. A new born child will never grow if nobody cares for the child and gives the needed nourishment to the child from time to time.

C. The Great Promise Mt.28.20b.

I am with you always to the very end of the age” Mt.28:20b.

God is with His children, always, everywhere and in any situation, not for sometime but till the very end. The presence, protection and provision of the Lord is available wherever we go.

Jesus gave this great Commission to His disciples. Today this is applicable to all those who believe in Jesus.

If you are not a believer or disciple of Jesus, now itself repent of your sins, believe in Jesus, and invite Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior. The moment you do that, you become His child. You become a Christian when the Spirit of Christ comes in your life. Study His Word to grow in him and start witnessing to others.

Great commission is not an option or a suggestion, but a command to be obeyed by all His disciples.

Are we sharing the Gospel to the people around us? God wants everyone in the world to hear the Gospel and believe in Him. How can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14. Let us start sharing the Gospel to the people around us and lead them to salvation. How about people who are in far off places, where there is nobody to preach the Gospel? How will they hear if nobody goes there? Are you willing to go there to preach or to share the Gospel?

“You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8. Let us start witnessing or sharing the Gospel in our Jerusalem- in our family, in our village or city, in our workplace.. then go to places around and from there to anywhere, everywhere..

Are you obeying the LORD in fulfilling the Great Commission?

Let us start sharing the Gospel to the people around. Let us give our resources to fulfill the Great Commission.

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” Matthew 28:18–19

When God created man, He gave man authority to have dominion over everything on earth (see Genesis 1:26). But when man sinned, he gave this authority to Satan. And when man’s authority was transferred to Satan, Satan brought in diseases, poverty, strife, bitterness, pain, loss and death. He messed up everything on earth for man.

“You may ask, why didn’t God just grab the devil by the neck and throw him out of the garden?” God did not do that because He is a judicial God. It was a man who gave away his authority to Satan. So it had to be a man who would legally take it back. And God has done this through a Man. His name is Jesus!

By His death on the cross, Jesus righteously restored all that man had lost. That is why, just before He went back to heaven, He said, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore…” Those words tell us that He has transferred His authority to us. The same authority that He had over the storm, evil spirits, sicknesses, diseases and even death is now ours to use.

So when there are reports of a flu epidemic and of young children falling sick in the media, know that you have dominion over the epidemic. Declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, this flu virus will not come near my children. I plead the blood of Jesus over them.”

If you have been told that your family has a history of heart disease, take dominion and declare, “By the authority given to me in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I destroy every form, manifestation and hereditary cause of this disease. By His blood, my family has been redeemed from this and every other curse.”

My friend, the authority which has been restored to us is not just the authority on earth which man had before the fall, but Jesus’ unquestionable and complete authority in heaven and on earth!

“I am with you always”

The Lord Jesus is in the midst of His church.
He walks among the golden candle sticks.
His promise is, “Lo I am with you always “.
He is as surely with us now as He was with the disciples at the lake,when they saw coals of fire ,and fish laid thereon and bread.
Not carnally,but still in real truth ,Jesus is with us.
And a blessed truth it is for where Jesus is, Love becomes inflamed of all the things in the world that can sent the heart burning.
There is nothing like the Presence of Jesus.
Even the smell of aloes, and myrrh and the cassia, which drop from His perfumed garments, causes the sick and the faint to grow strong.
Let there be but a moment’s leaning of the head upon that gracious bosom, and a reception of His Divine Love into our poor cold hearts and we are cold no longer but glow like seraphs.
If we know that Jesus is with us, every power will be developed, and every grace will be strengthened and we shall
cast ourselves into the Lord’s service with heart and soul and strength.
Therefore the Presence of Christ is to be desired above all things.
His Presence will be most realised by those who are most like Him.
His promises are as true as ever.
He will reveal Himself to our earnest prayers.
