The Perils of Unbelief ๐ต๏ธ and The Parable of the Sower
The miracles that Jesus did were supernatural ones. The healings were instant and surprised the people. But when He came to His own country His near and dear ones who knew Him and His family were offended by His teachings and healings. They found it difficult to accept Him. The Bible says:
๐ Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief (Mt 13:58).
It is dangerous to dwell in unbelief. The consequences of unbelief are severe.
Sin – Unbelief is a sin. Unbelief is the absence of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Unbelief represents the lack of faith in God. Unbelief separates one from God. The Israelites on the way to the Promised Land often gave room to unbelief.
They failed to have faith in God that ultimately earned them His wrath. Their unbelief prevented them from entering the Promised Land. Do we have any streak of unbelief in us? It is high time we confess the sin of unbelief and plead for God’s mercy. No matter what happens in life never doubt God or His word.
Blessing Blocker – Unbelief blocks the blessings of God. Unbelief blocks the heart from trusting God. It ties the hands of God from working in us, for us and through us. Jesus was amazed by the people’s lack of faith.
If we have faith in God then we receive what we ask Him in prayer. But an ounce of unbelief blocks the flow of blessings in our life. If you are facing obstacles or hindrances in life, do check whether there is unbelief in your life.
Dear Ones in Christ, Christian living is a life of faith. None of us have seen God. Yet we trust Him. We know that He is alive, trustworthy and reliable. This forms the base of our faith life. We pray because we believe that He hears and answers prayers.
When we harbour unbelief in our heart we actually doubt the existence of God. If we have this sin of unbelief in our life let us plead God’s help and mercy. He will help us to come out of our unbelief. Allow not unbelief to block God’s blessings in your life.
God bless us to be channels of blessings as we humble ourselves at His feet.

The Parable of the Sower
Matthew 13:3-8, 19-23
๐We have read and heard this parable a ๐ฏ times in our lives or even more. But if we only hear and not really listen to the ‘ Word ‘ carefully, then the devil will come and take away the Word that is sown in our ๐ – means we will not even remember the
‘Word’ and so no fruit will we yield.(Mt 13:19)
๐If the Word of God has not taken a deep root in our ๐ – that is, we listen to the Word but are not ready to stand firm by the Word and if we face trials or troubles, the Word of God will fail to be fruitful in our lives.(Mt 13:20-21)
๐Now, if God’s Word that we have heard and listened has remained in our ๐- the temptations and attractions or affections of this world, do not allow us to bear any fruit. (Mt 13:22)
๐Lastly, God’s Word that fell on good soil, yielded a harvest and produced fruit – a hundredfold, a sixty or a thirty. These are the ones who not only heard but also listened and understood the Word of God and obeyed to do the will of God according to the ‘ WORD ,’ so was able to produce fruit – a ๐ฏ, 6๏ธโฃ0๏ธโฃ or 3๏ธโฃ0๏ธโฃ.( Mt 13:23)
Children of God, we are really blessed with this Bible Study Group program, so as to read, hear and listen and understand the Word of God . May the Lord anoint us with the power of His Holy Spirit so that we may yield a rich harvest by obeying God’s Word and standing tall in the midst of all our trials and troubles in our lives as we deepen our Faith each day. Amen.
