Families should live together in peace, love and unity in order to create a safe environment for children It is God’s divine plan to always have somebody coming to assist you and to help you in life The only cure for loneliness is Jesus* You’re not alone.

Do not trust a friend, Do not put your confidence in a companion, Guard the doors of your mouth From her who lies in your bosom.

For son dishonors father, Daughters rises against her mother, Daughter in law against her mother in law. A mans enemies are from his own household.

Micah 7:5-6

We serve a God who calls us His friends. Jesus said I no longer call you servant’s, but friends for all the things that I heard from My Father, I have made it known to you (John 15:15).

The first above scripture portion tells us do not trust and put your confidence in a friend and to guard the doors of our mouth when we are in the midst of them. Godly friends are different from ungodly friends they can be trusted and relied upon, as per case to case basis. Samson had a ungodly friend Delilah and he opened the doors of his mouth and shared with her the secret of his strength and success and it proved very very costly for him. In the end it costed him his life and he could not fulfill the full and complete plan, purpose and destiny which God had in store for him.

The second scripture portion tells us that a man’s enemies are from his own household. Abels enemy was Cain, his own brother who killed him. Jacob’s enemy was Esau his own brother who was wanting to kill him, to escape Esau, Jacob ran to his uncle Laban’s house where he got his two wives, children’s and possessions. Joseph’s enemies were his own brothers, who put him in a pit and it paved the way for him to the palace. Aaron and Miriam stood against their own brother Moses and God certified of Moses that there is none faithful like him in His entire household. Jobs wife stood against him and said to him curse God and die, but he didn’t listen to her in the end he got back everything that he had lost in a double measure ( It really pays when you don’t listen to an unbelieving life partner ). The Bible never states anything about his wife, whether God gave him a new wife or whether he had to adjust and continue with the same old nagging wife, it is still a mystery. Absalom stood against his father David and snatched away his kingdom, but God restored and gave it back to him.

Peter the most trusted disciple and friend of Jesus denied Him thrice and ran away. Jesus trusted Judas the disciple with the responsibility of handling finances in His ministry. Judas sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver and ended his life. Jesus went to the cross and gave up His life and He conquered sin, sickness, poverty and death on the cross. Our Heavenly Father has put all things in heaven, on the earth and under the earth under the feet of Jesus and He rules and reigns forever and ever.

Jesus said in Luke 12:51,52 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth ?. I tell you not at all, but rather division for from now on five in one house will be divided three against two and two against three. If there are five in a family then two will be believers and the remaining three will be unbelievers, two will go to a believers church, two will go to a religious church and one special category person will not go to any place of worship.

The devil has no problem as long as we act and live like the people in the world, but the day we are saved and born again, the day we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior and walk in His will and ways, we become a threat to the enemy. The devil will try to wean us away from God, by using our own family members. Our family members before being born again will not have any problems with us even if we have wrong friends, or even if we consume alcohol or go to movies, but all our problems will start when we go to church and Bible study. They will have a real problem when we study the Bible, pray regularly and tell others about the love of Christ. Our family will never have a problem when we take our friends to a pub to drink, dance and come home late at night, but they will hate us for speaking about God to someone and when we take a person to a church or Bible study all hell will break loose and we will find Lucifer oriented and operating persons in our own family, relatives and friends ( God save them and bless them ).

Our own family members standing against us and persecuting us is a sure sign that we are Gods favored and that our names are on His favourite list and that He will elevate and promote us in the future. Jacob came back from his father in law’s house back to his father’s house, his brother Esau forgot all about their enemity and they stayed together for sometime and seperated, because the land could not support their huge cattle, herds and possessions. Esau went his way and God turned Jacob into a great nation. Joseph didn’t remain forever in the pit from there he went into the prison and from there he went into the palace and all his brothers who envied him came and bowed before him, they fell with their faces to the ground before him.

Beloved do not get discouraged when your own family members stand against you and persecute you, for your faith in God. Joseph’s brothers stood against him, God brought Potiphar and Pharoah from somewhere and they pushed him into his destiny. Aaron and Miriam stood against Moses, God brought Jethro an unbeliever who helped Moses in his ministry works and in the end even he became a believer. Rejoice when your enemies are from your own house, it is a sure sign of God promoting, prospering and taking you to a new different glorious level. What God has done for others, He will do it for you.

A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs 18:24.
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for the gift of life, salvation and eternal life that You have given to each one of us. Lord thank You for all the persecutions we go through at the hands of our family members, relatives and friends, it makes us stronger in faith and helps us to go to a new and glorious level. Lord give us the grace to love our enemies and those who persecute us, give us the heart and the desire to share the gospel and show them the love of Christ flowing in and through us in Jesus name we ask and pray.
