Do you see yourself as God sees you?

Numbers 23:21
He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Learn to see what God sees. Take a closer look at what God says in the verse above and just pause for a moment. Was there iniquity in Israel? (When God used the word “Jacob” here, He was referring to all the children of Israel.) Was there any sin (perverseness) in Israel? Or was everybody in the encampment perfect?

If you were to zoom in from the top of the mountain into the encampment of Israel, it’s not hard to imagine that a wide variety of imperfections, sins, iniquities, and wickedness was present throughout the camp. But the question is, did God see it?

Look at Num 23:21 again. Notice that God did not say there was no sin or iniquity in His people. He simply said He did not see it. Similarly, He is not saying that there is no sin in you. What God says is, “I don’t see it.”

Pause a minute, how can an unbendingly holy God not see sin in me?

My friend, it is because those same holy eyes saw all your sins punished in the body of Jesus Christ. Your sins were punished into nonexistence.

In the Israelite encampment, even though there were iniquities, sins, and wickedness, God did not see any of them because the blood of bulls and goats, which they offered up to the Lord daily, covered the children of Israel. How much more true that is for us today, we who are washed clean forever by the blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, our beautiful Saviour.

Under the old covenant, the Israelites enjoyed a temporal covering through the animal sacrifices, but for us, the atonement and payment for all our sins by Jesus Christ is eternal. That is why God does not observe sin and iniquity in you nor has He seen wickedness in you. When God looks at you today, He sees you as a righteous, forgiven, healed, favoured, blessed, accepted, and beloved son or daughter because of the cross of Jesus.

🎼Are you washed in the blood, in the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb? Are your garments spotless are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb ?. ..🎼

Stay Blessed 😊

🌹 Promises of God 🌹

There is a famous hymn that goes on like:
Standing, standing
Standing on the promises of God my Savior
Standing, standing
I’m standing on the promises of God.

Many often use the promises given in today’s reading portion in their prayers. It is really interesting to study how, when and by whom these promises were given.

The Background
The Israelites were in the wilderness wandering for several years. God was with them and leading them. Balak, the king of Moab was scared of these nomadic ones when he heard about them, their God and saw them neatly arranged according to their tribes. So he somehow wanted to overthrow them.

The Diviner
He sent word for Balaam, a celebrated diviner, of the city Pethor, on the Euphrates. Balaam was famous for his supposed supernatural powers, to come and curse them. So the king hired a diviner to curse the Israelites. Balaam came, offered burnt offerings in the altars and waited to hear from God. The king of Moab was waiting eagerly to hear the curses being pronounced along with the princes of Moab.

The Promises
The man who came to declare the curses, opened his mouth and there poured specific supernatural promises of God that glorified Him and highlighted His people.

📖 God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Num 23:19).

📖 Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it. He has not observed iniquity in Jacob, Nor has He seen wickedness in Israel. The LORD his God is with him, And the shout of a King is among them (Num 23:20, 21).

📖 For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel, ‘Oh, what God has done! (Num 23:23).

The Shock
Balak, the king was in for a rude shock to hear the blessings. He enquired Balaam why he had uttered such bountiful blessings on his enemies the Israelites. Even after trying for four times all that Balaam could say upon them was words of blessings.

Dear Ones in Christ, are you worried because someone has pronounced words of curses and done some sorcery against you and your family? Then these promises are specifically for you and your family. What God has promised He will certainly bring it to pass.

Claim the promises of God; Confess the promises of God; Pray the promises of God; Believe the Promise Giver and His promises.

📖 For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us (2 Cor 1:20).

God bless us to be channels of blessings.
