A prayer for deliverance from lying

Psalm 120:2

Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

We are in such a wicked world where the whole world is covered with lie and deception.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.(Jn 8: 44)

Realise that the satan has blinded the eyes of people with lie and deception. He has sown the seed of lie and deceit in the beginning in the garden of Eden and lead the entire mankind into a miserable state.

Lying and deceiving may give you a temporary relief or comfort but it’s consequences are vulnerable and liable to higher penalties. It will push you into a helpless and and wretched state. Your pathetic state is the delight of satan.

Gehazi was cursed with leprosy because he lied.
Ananias and Sapphira died because they lied.
But remember Peter also lied thrice before the cock crew twice. He did not perish because he repented.
We are still alive we are still in the grace period, we still have a chance to repent from our lying life. If  we lose this opportunity we may have to repent in the hell fire for ever.

Inorder to overcome this lying life we have to love the truth.
What is the truth?

  1. Lord Jesus Christ is the truth
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.(Jn 14:6)
  2. The Word of God is the truth.
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
    (Ps 119:142)

Let’s pray for wisdom, anointing and grace to keep away our tongue and lips from lies and deception.

Stay Blessed 😊

Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

Verse 105, in particular, talks about how this inscripturated revelation is a lamp to our feet.

We use lights and lamps to light up the darkness and help us find our way in a dark room, on a road at night, and in similar settings.
God’s Word is a lamp to our feet that lights the path of truth in a world of darkness.

The “Word of God” is our compass in life.
It is also our guide, our helper, our deliverer, our peace, our joy, our redemption and our everlasting promise.

God’s Word offers divine guidance, wisdom, and assurance.

When we neglect God’s Word, we neglect the transformation He offers.

Just as a caterpillar enters the safety and security of a cocoon to be transformed to a butterfly, Christians enter God’s Word to be transformed.

In His Word we are reminded that we do not need to worry about our lives: ……..
He is the God who protects, provides, and pursues us.

*It is often through His Word that we find the answer to an unanswered painful question, and a new path to move forward.

God does not simply reveal paths, He creates new paths through water, through fire, and even through death.

Satan provides many excuses to avoid our transformation because our transformation has a powerful effect on those around us.

We are the light of the world —but only if,…… our switch is turned on.

Psalm: 121:1, 2

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains- where does my
help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the
Maker of heaven and earth”

Psalms 120- 134 are known as “songs of ascent”
These songs are sung by the
washipers on their journey to the Jerusalem temple to
observe the three annual
festivals, namely, festival of
the unleavened bread ( Passover), festival of weeks (Pentecost) and the
festival of Tabernacle.

⚡ The assurance that God
” watches over” his people is
repeated five times. ( Vs: 3,4
5, 7, 8 ) The first two verses
say,our help comes from the
Maker of heaven & earth.
The 3rd and 4th verses declare, God never slumbers
as he watches over his
people. The message of the
next two verses is that, we
have God’s protection both
day and night. The last two
verses proclaim, God’s
eternal protection is for both
now and for evermore,
⚡ When we begin a journey
we often read this Psalm,
believing in God’s protection
Our heavenly father never takes his eyes off His children. While we can’t prevent trials, problems or
loss, we can live with a faith, relying on an ever-present
helper and protector who
watches over our lives.
⚡ Do you feel alone,
forsaken, abandoned, confused ? Meditate on the
lines of this Psalm. Allow these words fill your soul with faith and courge. You
are not alone, so don’t try
to do life on your own.
Sometimes our obstacles
can seem insurmountable.
But God invites us to look to
him to see that our help comes from the Lord.
Keep your eye on God-your
source of help.
💫God always keep his eyes on you- because you are
his child.
