๐Ÿ“ฃ Call of Distress ๐Ÿ“ฃ

Prayer is a call of distress to the Lord. Psalm 107 gives an account of the various distresses that made the Israelites cry to the Lord. Now for a short glimpse of these different difficult situations:

๐Ÿšธ Distress in Journey ๐Ÿšธ

The Israelites wandered in the desert of lack. Their soul fainted in thirst and hunger. In their distress they cried unto the Lord. And He delivered them, led them and settled them (Ps 107:4-7).

Christian life is not easy at all times. At times we grow weary in this pilgrimage. But when we cry to the Lord He delivers from all troubles and satisfies the longing soul.

โ›“๏ธ Distress of Captivity โ›“๏ธ
Despising God and His word landed in captivity of darkness and deepest gloom. The Israelites stumbled and cried unto the Lord in their trouble. And He saved them and brought them out of darkness and gloom (Ps 107:10-14).

Are you suffering from any captivity or bondage? Call unto Him and He will break all the yoke and set you free.

๐Ÿค’ Distress of Sickness ๐Ÿค’
Rebellion and iniquities resulted in sickness. When their soul abhorred food and in the shadow of death the Israelites cried to the Lord. And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them. And delivered them from destruction (Ps 107:17-20).

No one is free of sickness. But in the sick bed when we cry to the Lord for healing, He sends His word and heals all diseases. One word from Him is enough to heal any disease.

โ›ต Distress in Sea โ›ต
Sea voyages may turn perilous in adverse weather. The horrific situation melts the soul. When at witโ€™s end the Israelites cried out to the Lord and He brought them out of their distress.

He is a God who calms the storm and safely guides to the desired destination. Cry to God when the going gets stormy.

Dear ones in Christ, every person has his own storms, sickness and suffering. Whatever be our trouble, when we cry unto the Lord, He will save us, deliver us and bring us out of our distress. Cry unto Him in distress. Cry and keep crying until He delivers. Prayer is a call of distress.

God bless us to be channels of blessings.
