Psalm 51:1

David pleads with God to show him mercy and loving kindness. David knows that everything God does is out of love and that He is a God of love. David acknowledges the immeasurable love of God.

Yes….God’s love is unfailing, unconditional and sacrificial. God loves us despite our sins, failures and mistakes. In a world where giving and receiving love is often conditional and fleeting, God’s love is stable, comforting and a source of refuge. While we may not always “feel” God’s love, God’s expression of His unconditional love is found throughout the Bible.

Few Bible verses that speak of God’s unfailing love:

1. “Greater love has no one than this; to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” – John 15:13
2. “How great is the love the father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” – I John 3:1
3. “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
