If you have been created by God and for God, everything you have is God’s Let God lead your life In case you forgot, here is a timely reminder, God loves you, Regardless.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children,
To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

Psalm 103:17-18.
We serve a God who is a covenant keeping God and He shows His mercy to generations. The above scripture portion tells us that God shows His mercy to generations and He is a covenant keeping God and He never forgets those who remember His commandments and practice them.

God’s love is unconditional and is eternal. Human love comes with conditions (give and take) and it is for a time, season and a reason, but God’s love and mercy is for generations. David a man after God’s own heart knew God at a deeper level, even though he comitted adultery and planned for murder, he repented and came back to God and God showed mercy not only to him, but also for his generations by keeping them on the throne of Israel inspite of drifting away from Him.

The Governments of this earth may plan and execute for a five year or a ten year term period, but when God plans and executes His plan, it is for generations to come. Abraham was called to be the father of many nations, it was not only for Abraham, but also for generations to come. If anyone is in Christ Jesus then he is a seed of Abraham and heirs to his promises.

Hagar brought forth Ishmael for Abraham, but he was sent away because God didn’t approve of him. At the time of leaving when Hagar looked to Abraham all he gave her was a skin of water and some bread which got exhausted, but when Hagar looked to God for help, He gave her a well of water in the wilderness and she was promised that Ishmael would also be turned into a great nation, because he was a seed of Abraham (Genesis chapter 21). God’s mercy was not for one generation, but for generations to come.

Jacob was deceived by his uncle Laban and given two wives Leah and Rachel. Jacob loved Rachel, but he didn’t show love to Leah, God showed love and mercy to her, she kept on bringing forth children whereas Rachel whom Jacob loved was barren for a long time and in the end she bore Joseph. Jacob’s twelve children became the twelve tribes of Israel. God’s love and mercy was not for one generation, but for generation to come. Jesus the Lion of Judah choose to come from the tribe of Judah and He is the most loved and beloved Son of our Heavenly Father.

Salvation is a free gift from God (which we don’t deserve) and it is not for us alone, but for our generations to come. God didn’t see us and say if this person makes it to heaven it is enough, He saw the future generations in and through us. God desires to see the entire earth filled with Godly offspring and He desires and wishes that no one should perish, but everyone will believe in His Son Jesus and gain eternal life through Him. God gave His Son Jesus as a sacrifice not for one generation of people, but for the generations of the entire mankind (past, present and future).

If you are not saved or born again I would like to encourage you to give your heart and life to Jesus make Him the Lord and savior of your life and let God’s love, grace, goodness, mercy and miracle working power flow in and through you not only for you and others, but for the future generations to come.

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.

The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.

Psalm 145: 8,9.
One generation shall praise Your works to another, And declare Your mighty acts.

Psalm 145:4
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, And Your dominion endures through out all generations.

Psalm 145:13
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for Your love and mercy which lasts for many generations. Lord give us the grace to teach our generations about Your love, grace, goodness and miracle working power, help us to be faithful and serve You all the days of our lives on this earth in Jesus name we ask and pray.
