Righteousness suggests inflexible justice

Psalms 85: 10:- “Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed..”

In this psalms,Here we can see there is a prayer for restoration and revival by God.
God’s righteousness is so rich that he makes a path for his people.

His salvation will come to those that fear him.

This Psalm is evidence of God’s love and mercy. It reminds us that we have a God who is stronger than all and will save us from our sins.

Mercy and truth; righteousness and peace. These are four divine attributes.

“Mercy and truth” are brought together at least sixteen times in the Old Testament, including ten times in the psalms.

We should understand that how difficult it is to get both mercy and truth together at the same time.

The Hebrew word here for righteousness is also often translated justice.

Righteousness suggests inflexible justice.

JUSTICE IS SOMETHING WE TYPICALLY WANT FOR OTHERS;
MERCY IS SOMETHING WE TYPICALLY WANT FOR OURSELVES.

These qualities were all met together in Christ…

At the cross, we find Mercy, Truth, Righteousness and Peace.

Justice, because Jesus paid the debt of human wickedness, and
mercy, because this payment wipes our slates clean.

God’s justice is in love with peace.

There infinite wisdom, infinite justice, infinite mercy, and infinite love were displayed. Depths, heights, lengths, and breadths of love and wisdom, all passing knowledge, are made known in the plan of salvation.

He who desires the truth in his heart, who desires for the working of its powers upon the life and character, will be sure to have it.

Says the Saviour, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” Matthew 5:6.
