The Lord Reigns
(📖 Psalm 93)

Today we are in Book IV (90 – 106) of the book of Psalms . Psalm 93 is a hymn that celebrates God’s majesty and kingship (eternal, universal and invincible reign of the Lord).

🌈 THE LORD IS KING 👑
The Lord reigns not like the kings of the nations but is designated as the King of the universe, and He is robed in Majesty and Strength. His dominion is eternal, it will last forever (v 1-2)

🌈 THE LORD IS POWERFUL 💪
The Lord reigns since the creation of the universe, and he has shown himself to be mightier than all the forces of natural phenomenon (sea, waves and thunder v 3-4)
✅ In OT the Lord parted the Red Sea to save the Israelites from the Egyptians (Exo 14)
✅ In NT Jesus demonstrated his power over the sea (Mark 4:39)

🌈 THE LORD LIVES 💒
The Lord reigns by living among the people (v 5)
🔖 He has established his house among them for endless days 🏠
🔖 He has given his statutes or law for holy living 📜 .

💞 Beloved Church, just as the Lord’s creation is Secure , so his divine Statutes are powerful and trustworthy. Christ dwells in the hearts of all who believe in him (Rev 3:20)
We are to live in this world and follow his statutes with assurance of God’s favour and protection (Eph 3:12)

INDEED OUR LORD REIGNS 🙌
