Become Sons and Daughters of God

Through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 1:4)

The Spirit of Holiness made Lord Jesus the Son of God.

The Spirit of Holiness makes us the Sons and Daughters of the Almighty God.

Why Holiness?
Because it is a command to be Holy.

You are to be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own (Lev 20:26).

God made us to be His children, to be Holy, however we disobeyed God and lost the privilege of continuing as His children.

But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15-16)

If we want to be part of God’s family, to be His Sons and Daughters we need to be like God. Our God is a holy God. So, we need to be Holy.

How to live a Holy Life?

Among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. (Ephesians 5:3)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.(Romans 12:1)

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation. Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. (Philippians 2:14-16)

When we live a Holy life, God dwells in us. The holiness in us invites God the Father and Lord Jesus to abide in us, making us Sons and Daughters of God

Let us pursue Holiness.

Let us be called the Sons and Daughters of God.
