The beginning

SHALOM ๐Ÿ™

There are four books in the Bible which begins with the phrase ” beginning ” in the first verse . They are Genesis, Mark, John & 1John

๐Ÿ“– John 1:1 ” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God “.
John takes us into eternity past when Jesus Christ, the living Word of God, existed as the eternal Son of God . He existed before all things because He made all things ( Jn 1:3; Col 1:16-17; Heb 1:2b)

๐Ÿ“– Mark 1:1 ” The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ , the Son of God. “
The gospel or the good news is that God has provided salvation through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The message of the gospel did not start with the ministry of John the Baptist, because the good news of God’s grace was first announced in Genesis 3:15

๐Ÿ“– 1John 1:1 “That which was from the beginning , which we have heardโ€ฆ seen.. looked upon and..touched with our hands – this we proclaim “.
The apostle John testifies that they have heard Him , seen Him , looked at Him and touched Him , and He is the One who has existed from eternity and became the flesh ( Jn 1:14 ) . He is God in human flesh. He is our Immanuel โœ

๐Ÿ“– Genesis 1:1 ” In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth “.
This popular verse refers to the dateless past when God brought the universe into existence out of nothing . He spoke , and things were created. His Word is active, living and powerful.

Let us ponder upon the phrase in the beginning God . How wonderful it would be when we make our beginning with God , be it our job , business, meetings , marriage, deal and all our basic needs.
May our day begins with God not with mobiles, internets , Facebook, bed tea and newspapers.
