The results of God’s blessing in our our lives

2 Samuel 7:18 “Then King David went in and sat before the LORD; and he said”. : “Who am I, O Lord GOD? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far?”

Here we see that David’s prayer is a response to Nathan’s report, where God makes this promise to David.
God said to David, that, ………
“Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me, your throne will be established forever” (verse 16).

God also reminded David of his origins: He had taken David “from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.”
He had given him victory over his enemies and promised, “I will make you a great name”

Once again, David was overwhelmed.

He reacted, “Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far?”

David is amazed God would bless him like this.

David’s humility about himself and his deep respect for God are clearly shown in his response..

Here we see the characteristics of David’s heart, which show why the LORD considered him a man after his own heart.

He prayed and he prayed honestly and earnestly.

What does it mean to be humble?
To be humble is to realize how weak we are,………….
………….. how helpless we are to change the course of our lives in our own power.
…………. It’s to ask God for His forgiveness and to trust Him for His guidance.

He wants us to realize and confess our helplessness, our sinfulness, and our complete need for Him in our lives;

Dear ones, WE NEED TO REMEMBER ALL WE HAVE, EVEN OUR NEXT BREATH, IS THE RESULT OF GOD’S BLESSING ON OUR LIVES.

“The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (Psalm 34:18).
