How can I know God’s will for my life?

Acts 22:14 – “Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestors has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth.”

Here we can see that Paul has been recounting his conversion experience with the man Ananias, who healed his blindness, in Damascus.

Here we see that Paul was Appointed to:
Know His will
See the Righteous One (Jesus)
Hear a voice from His mouth

What is one of the most common questions asked by Christian believers?
I think it might be…………. “How can I know God’s will for my life?”

Many times we worry over the question of God’s will, wondering how we can ever know what God wants us to be and do.

Dear Friends, … I think, If we sincerely want to know His will, He will faithfully guide us into His plan.
Our job is to simply do what He clearly asks us to do.

Know His will

To live in god’s will: We need to ……………

  1. Be obedient to God’s Word.:- God’s will is revealed in His Word.. If we focus on living by God’s Word we will not miss God’s plan for our life.
  2. Trust and acknowledge God in all we do: Worry leads to bad decisions. It leads to emotionally-based, impulsive, reactive actions.

Trust in God and rest in His care and sovereignty.

  1. Keep a grateful heart at all times: One of the keys to remaining in the will of God is gratitude. Being thankful with the blessings and opportunities God has given us and keep us in the frame of heart, mind and spirit to be further guided and used by Him.

See the righteous one (Jesus)
*Do we recognize our need for the Righteous One, Jesus Christ?

(John Newton famously said, “Although my memory’s fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.”

Dear…. Recognize our sin and recognize our need for Christ and trust Him.
Our faith should be on Him because He is our only hope for righteousness.

Hear a voice from His mouth: We live in such a noisy, busy and distracted culture.

In order to hear, we must position ourselves to actually listen.
In order to hear from Him, we must invest the time and effort to listen.

So…. Let’s……

  • actively humble us…
  • cultivate intimacy with Him.

Jesus promised to speak to us when we invite Him into our lives.
