God will carry us on the Eagle’s Wing out

God will carry us on the Eagle’s Wing out of our Lockdown as Eagle ChristiansExodus 19:4.

🦅If we trust God in this lockdown we can take an eagle flight out of this lockdown, until then we have to wait upon the Lord like the eagle, Isaiah 40:31. We must come out as Victorious Eagle Christians and not Chicken Christians, who have learnt to soar higher and higher above the Covid 19 Storm

🦅One of the most awesome grace of God moments in the old Testament for God’s people three months after their deliverance following their Rephidim experience overcoming the Amalekites, was to hear how God worked in the invisible releam to deliver His people from the hands of the Egyptian and then to overcome the Amalekites in their first battle as warriors, Exodus 19:4-6

🦅God called Abraham as an Individual whose third generation became a family of 70 during Jacob’s migration to Egypt and grew to become a nation over 400 years and now has an army of fighting men. Now God wanted every Israelites to remember, what, why and how God brought them out, to bring them in.

🦅“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.” Exodus 19:4-6.

🦅God used the word picture of an eagle, to Himself caring for Israel as an eagle, because this bird is well known to be very affectionate to its young, and careful of it, and only to one it will be faithful. It seems it will for some reason if having more eaglets will cast away all but one, and reserve that, which it will carefully nourish and cherish and being swift of flight, and strong of wing, it will in a remarkable manner take its young upon it, and safely and swiftly carry it where it wants. The eagle excels in its strength and muscle power than any other birds so that, it can carry its young, and other things, on its back and wings.

🦅Moses went up Mount Sinai, to speak with God on behalf of the people, where he heard a deliberate summary of the events of the preceding chapters in Exodus 19 Verse 4, and how God inspite of their relentless murmurings brought them from Egypt, to Himself powerfully and smoothly, because they were His treasured possession out of all the nations on earth. Surely, after hearing it, you would have thought that they continue with gratitude, but they did not.

🦅It is once again a great lesson for me in this lockdown. I must trust the process God has for me to bring me out of this lockdown as I don’t know when or how but His grace is sufficient for me, 2 Corinthians 12:9, as it was sufficient for God’s people, because it was His grace that saved them before the Law was given in Chapter 20. They could only obey the Law if they entered into a special relationship with God and obeyed Him.

🦅As we know, they could not do it and each time they disobeyed Him they had to make restitution by bring sin offerings.

🦅Israel was a nation chosen by God, rescued by God, to be specially set aside for Him. The people a “kingdom of priests”, where they all have the freedom of priestly access to God. And not only did Israel have access to God as His people, they were a “holy nation”, set apart from the rest of the nations. They were the special set apart people but failed to keep up their special status through sin and disobedience and failed to share the divine nature and likeness of God to those around them.

🦅Child of God, Remember this, we as the New Testament Believers are so privileged that through Jesus we have the unmerited farvour of God who has made us kings and priests, a holy nation set apart for God, 1 Peter 2:9. In this lockdown, how much of Chirst-likeness has those around has seen through us through the grace of God? Jesus is the end of the Law, Romans 10:4. By believing in the finished work of the cross we are saved. But do we continue in the walk with God submitting and yielding to the Holy Spirit, or are we still wandering in the wilderness? This lockdown is a perfect time for us to wait upon the Lord like the eagle to be renewed and be ready to take flight to our new destiny….Amen🙏
