I know that my Redeemer lives

Job 19:25-27 “I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end He will stand upon the earth.”

In today’s Scripture we read the response of a righteous man who was under intense trials.

In the face of all his friends’ condemnation, Job held on to one truth: “I cannot answer all your questions, nor can I defend myself against all your accusations and arguments, but this I do know for a certainty: God is my Redeemer.”

When Job said “my Redeemer” he was referring to his Redeemer as a defender and advocate in Heaven who would plead with God on his behalf.

Redeemer (redemption) means restoring the rights of another and/or paying a ransom for another.

The cry of Job’s heart points us to Jesus—our living Savior.

He came to this world and shed His blood for us so that through faith alone in Him alone we can be saved.

It is Jesus who has redeemed us for the Father.

Jesus paid the ultimate price to redeem us for the Father, and this price is not just physical death, but also for God’s righteous wrath resulting from the infinite penalty for sins committed against an infinitely holy God.

Don’t live in defeat and agony as if Christ is still on cross, or in the tomb.

HE is alive! He IS alive! He is ALIVE!

He is there for us in time of need, in time of despair, in time of sorrow, in time of illness or battling a deadly disease or virus.

Walk with Christ.
Talk with Him,- and
allow His joy to penetrate our heart and fill our soul.
