The lockdown limitations, restrictions, challenges will be used by God for His greater purpose and glory when we surrender them to God… Romans 8:17-18.

☘️Nobody was ready for the unprecedented covid pandemic and the damages it brought to the people and their countries. Paul wrote to the Church in Rome to tell them that suffering was a reality in his life as he wrote the letter in his prison lockdown. But, he was writing to tell them that if they were suffering because of Christ, then it was nothing compared to the glory that was awaiting them. This lockdown is seen as a great setback. The Christian life is not about the subtraction of suffering, but rather the addition of the supernatural grace to go through suffering, 2Corinthians 12:9. Paul is writing that suffering which is temporary in this world is a reality but we can experience the glory of God in the midst of it.

☘️Child of God, Remember this, Romans Chapters 6-7, is the framework for the life of a believer in Christ Jesus. No one can live a Christian life without the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:1-18 about the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer to enable us to live the Christian life. So without the empowering Holy Spirit, we will not be able to go through any form of suffering to have a victorious life. Some people think that the Christian life means the removal of all problems and we are not to go through any pain or hardship. When we live in Christ inherit a new set of problems because we are going against the current of the world in which we live. We are very much in the world, but not of the world system, John 17:16-26.

☘️God has woven into the tapestry of lives everything we need to overcome the momentary suffering to reveal His glory when satan throws his fiery darts at us. He has given us in Christ Jesus His incredible Power, His incredible Presence and Incredible Promises. We are not immune from trials in the Christian life. It is important that we set our minds on things above and not on things of this earth when suffering is permitted.

☘️Paul calls his suffering as momentary light afflictions, so what should we do about our lockdown limitations? A walk in the park? When we go through challenges as Christians let us, drop to our knees and seek His will to have the right attitude and go through our trials knowing that we can be a witness to those around. We can point others to God as the source of comfort, healing, and salvation in the midst of suffering. Paul has given us in 2Corinthians 4:8-10, what he went through, the more he was crushed, the sweeter smelling the aroma of Christ that emerges from him, 2Corinthians 2:15. Let us use our monetary sufferings in this lockdown with an eternal perspective to bring glory to God and await the greater glory in eternity to our forever…. Amen. 🙏
