God’s cleansing fountain is possibly the richest of all
Zechariah 13:1 “In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.”
God being a fountain to His people is frequently found in the Old Testament.
But…. Zechariah’s explanation and idea of God’s cleansing fountain is possibly the richest of all.
In the above verse we see SIN.
The Hebrew word for “sin” comes from a root meaning, “to miss”.
Together the words “sin and impurity”, we can always see the cleansing Grace of our Lord.
Here we can see God’s fountain to cleanse the uncleanness.
Let us look at the three things about God’s fountain.
A. God’s fountain originates from His grace.
Forgiveness of sins can be attained through God’s favor and grace.
The Old Testament may divide the world between the righteous and the wicked, but the New Testament is a book of grace.
In the New Testament we are all sinners who stand in need of God’s Grace.”
B. God’s fountain is Unlimited :-
In 1 Tim. 1:13-15, “ the grace of our Lord was more than abundant”.
Oftentimes we think that the sins we committed are terrible; Yes it is true but God opens his cleansing fountain that rids all our impurities if we repent diligently.
The inexhaustible grace is available to all of us.
C. God’s fountain must be applied individually.
We need to apply it individually to our hearts and to truly repent before Him, and mourn our sins.
The instant we do that, we will know the joy of God’s forgiveness.
As 1 John 1:9 promises, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Let’s cleanse our sins in God’s fountain more often!

Zechariah 13:9 I will refine them like silver and test them like gold.
They will call on my name and I will answer them
From rhe midst of the fiery refinement, the elect remnant of Israel will see Jesus, the Messiah and call on Him as Savior.and be saved.Fire from God tests, purifies, the righteous. God is like a fire which burns the dross of His people.
Believers are refined like silver and gold through fire of their difficult circumstances and trials. When we obey Him, rely on Him we are part of God’s remnant and will be made more like christ.
