Deuteronomy 26:1-11

🧺 The Basket 🧺

Here is the blessed basket;
Basket of blessing at the altar.
Inside are Canaan’s first fruits;
Land, God promised long ago.

Yummy, delicious are first fruits;
Enriched with nutrients of soil.
Ripe and plum are first fruits;
Reflecting promises of Lord God.

Taken carefully basket of blessing;
To place God choose to be His own.
Handed over to the priest in office;
Kept besides the precious altar.

By the altar hear a wonderful prayer;
Narrating events happened years ago.
God brought us to this glorious land;
Now I bring to You the first fruits.

Basket placed before the Lord God;
Bow down entire family before God.
Worshiping Lord for His goodness;
As basket watch awestruck by altar.

Basket filled with first fruits of land;
Shared liberally as God told in Law.
Enjoy the Levites and the aliens;
From the first fruits in the basket.

Did you take your basket to the altar;
Filled with blessings of His promises.
Place all His blessings at the altar;
And bow down and worship God.
