BE A GOOD STEWARD OF TIME

( ๐Ÿ“• Psalm 31 : 15 )

Psalm 31 is written in a context of extreme fear. David must have experienced this phenomenon when Saul pursued him ( 1Sam 23 ). Despite all this suffering and danger, the psalmist boldly affirms his trust in the Lord his God ( v 14 ). He places not only his spirit ( v 5 ) but his times ( present and future ) in the Lord for he said, ” My times are in your hands ” v 15a.

โฒ๏ธ TIME MOVES ON
The concept of TIME is central to our busy lives. We complain that we never get a moment to ourselves. But we are reminded constantly that TIME ” marches on “. Once gone, it’s irretrievable. These days we come across with some pictures of our friends with a caption ” Just Time Pass” in Facebook. It is good to note “TIME PASS ” but we don’t have TIME for studying God’s Word @ even the insights.
TIME isn’t often a friendly noun.

โฒ๏ธ TIME IS A GIFT :
God gives TIME to us with certain expectations of how we will use it. However, our free will allows us to do whatever we want with it – good or bad.
โฐ We can cherish time but we can also neglect it.
โฐ We can hoard our time but we can also share it.
โฐ We can invest our time but we can also squander it.

๐Ÿ“Œ Whatever we decide to do , we need to know that we are accountable to God for it.

โฒ๏ธ TIME IS PRECIOUS
Near the end of Moses’s life, he authored Psalm 90 : ” Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom ” v 12
๐Ÿ“Œ We are to number our days not by counting how many days or years we may live but by recognising that our life on this earth is brief. Thus we need to evaluate how we are living in light of holiness and greatness of God. The end result will be gaining a heart of wisdom to fear God and live in obedience to His good, pleasing and perfect will.

๐Ÿ“ Paul exhorts us “Be very careful, then, how you live – making the most of every opportunity ( TIME ) ” Ephesians 5:15-16

๐Ÿ’ž Beloved Church, when the psalmist announces ” My times are in your hands ” , he is making a positive statement, a statement that speaks of SECURITY and COMFORT, even REST.
It tells us to take seriously and account for the TIME God has given us. What we do with our TIME truly does matter ! Especially to God.

๐Ÿ™ Dear God, there is a TIME for everything. Help me to steward the minutes, hours and days that you have given me. ๐Ÿ›

Ps 27:14 Don’t be impatient _ wait for the Lord and He will come and save you. Be brave, stout hearted, and courageous Yes wait and He will help you

David knew that impatience can lead to dangerous and sinful choices.when life is not going the way we want it to, especially over several months or years, our faith in God’s timing is tested.

Remember God hasnot forgotten you wait for the Lord ‘goodnesz, Such a life is not easy but the future is secure
