🗣️ Ascribe to the Lord the GLORY due His name..” 📖 1Chronicles 16:24,29

The glory of the Lord 🌈

📝 When Phinehas’ wife heard that the Ark of God had been captured and that her father-in-law and her husband were dead , on her dead bed she said , “The glory has departed from Israel ” ( 1Sam 4: 19-22 ) . But the God of the Bible is “the Lord who reigns , and his judgements are in all the earth.. but his love endures forever ” ( 1Chronicles 16: 14,31,34 )

WHY STUDY THE GLORY OF GOD ❓
💫 It shows us that ” we fall short of the glory of God ” ( Rom 3:23 )

💫 It teaches us what matters most — God’s own glory ( Isaiah 42:8 )

💫 It gives an introduction of the One and True God — GOD OF GLORY ( Acts 7:2 )

💫 If we grasp and affirm it from our heart , it will be a life – changing experience :
📌 It will transform our sense of worship ( Is 6:1-4)
📌 It will humble us ( Is 6:5a)
📌 It will lead us to obedience ( Is 6:6-8)
📌 It will help us to understand the aim of our lives – “to see GOD’S GLORY in all things ( 1Cor 10:31 )

🌈 THE GLORY OF GOD IS HIS ATTRIBUTES :
🔖 God is the Creator , Redeemer , Saviour and Incomprehensible.

🔖 God is Holy , Merciful, Eternal, Faithful and Just.

🎷 THE WAKE UP CALL 👂
🎈 Ascribe to the Lord , O families of nations.

🎈 Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength .

🎈 Ascribe to the Lord the GLORY DUE HIS NAME :
📌 Proclaim His salvation ( v 23)
📌 Declare His glory and His marvellous deeds ( v 24)
📌 Worship the Lord ( v 29 )
📌 Bring an offering of reverence and thanksgiving ( v 29 )
📌 Give thanks to the Lord ( v 34 )

💞 Beloved Church, let us ascribe to the Lord :
1) For Creation , Psalm 19: 1
2) For Redemption , Eph 1:14
3) For all the benefits that are ours in Christ , Psalm 103:2
God created us for the purpose of glorifying Him . He desires authentic and voluntary fellowship with us.
