Be grateful for JESUS
1 Chronicles 16: 34
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
No Jesus, no peace Know Jesus, know peace
One can be grateful to God in two things. Earthly blessings and heavenly blessings. We must practice like David to be grateful to God in our spiritual matters.
And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: (1 Chr 16: 4)
David didn’t Praise God because God made him a king. Some children of God will give thanks to God only when they receive the earthly blessings. That’s not wrong, but our gratitude should not be confined for only earthly blessings.
David didn’t know Jesus, he didn’t experience Jesus, but still he was grateful to God.
The Holy Spirit was not abundant as it is now, but still he was grateful to God.
David was under the law of Moses, not in the grace, but still he was grateful to God.
David had no church and no fellowship to worship, but still he was grateful to God.
You cannot find any other person in the Bible as grateful as David was
We the new covenant Church, we have salvation, we have Jesus, we have the experience of the anointing of the Holy Spirit, we are not under the law of Moses but in the grace and in the truth, we have doctrines and deeper truths, we have church and fellowship, we have the consecrated servants of God to take care, we have the Holy Bible always accessible and above all we are privileged to read the Bible in 270 days along with thousands of children of God.
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness. (2 Peter 1: 3)
Are you grateful to God for all these spiritual blessings.
My friend, don’t be trapped by the snares of satan, he is a liar from the beginning, he will blind you spiritually and open your eyes for, and give you a power point presentation on your sickness, shortcomings, financial threat, economic crisis, pandemic virus etc. to shun you from being grateful to God. Be grateful to God for all the divine plan of God towards your life. Habakkuk says: Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. (Habakkuk 3: 17,18)
