You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving * Gods expectation from us is only in proportion to what He has given us * God is not looking for a perfect person but He is looking for a willing heart.

As the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word.

And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.

The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook.

“Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.”

So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.”

For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’

The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.

1 Kings 17:1,4,6,9,12,13,14.
We serve a God who provides for His children and He provides for those whom He loves even while they are yet sleeping. The above scripture portion tells us that God provided Elijah through ravens and through a widow from Zarepath ( when God gives you a vision, He gives you the provision, when He calls and choses, He provides ).

One day of God’s favor is more than a lifetime of labor. Many of us when we lose our sources of income ( career, business ) we fear and panic from where will we get our bread, butter and meat ?. Elijah was a prophet he worked for God ( no source of income ) he pronounced a drought ( no rain or dew ) and God sustained him in the drought by the brook, He fed him through the ravens with bread and meat and after some period of time through a widow who had nothing on her hands.

The reason why many suffer in poverty and lack is, because they don’t give to the extension of the kingdom of God all they want is we four and no more ( husband, wife and two children ) even the widow was of the same mind, me and my son. The widow was having her last meal on hands she and her son wanted to eat this and die ( commit suicide, no faith in God and His provision ). When God wants to bless a person, He will send a person with a need their way to check their heart condition ( whether they have a heart to give ). Elijah entered into the life of the widow when she was trying to prepare her last meal ( eat and then die, no dying before eating ) but Elijah asked her to give what was left in her hands and she gave it to him, he ate and the bin of flour and the jar of oil was never empty till the days of drought were over ( when you give the natural to God, He introduces the supernatural to you ).

The secret to beat and kick lack and poverty is by giving to the extension for the kingdom of God, had the widow not given to Elijah the story of her and her son would have simply ended, but because of her giving and sharing what she had God performed a miracle, in the drought God sustained His prophet, the widow and her son. If you want to beat and kick out lack and poverty from your life and the lives of your future generations give to God and see Him providing and prospering you and your generations. Abraham and David gave the best they had to God and their generations were never poor.

The more you have a need, the more He’ll have an answer

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

2 Corinthians 8:9.
Give and it shall be given unto you good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

Luke 6:38
Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for the provision that You have provided us with for our entire life, give us the grace, heart, wisdom and faith to give for the expansion of Your kingdom and to those around us. Lord we uphold every person who is going through tough times in the area of provision open the gates of heavens provision in their lives, bless them so that they could be a blessing to the kingdom and others around them in Jesus name we ask and pray.
