The greatest battle is when you are close to your destination *Your crisis is critical to your development in your weakness is where you get your strength* You are the child of the most High God, you are created, called, chosen and anointed to win.

Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way.

So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive.

Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep.

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.

So David recovered all that the Amalekites carried away, and David rescued his two wives.

And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them, David recovered all.

We serve a God who is our restorer, He can restore anything, anytime, anywhere. The above scripture portion tells us that David and his people had lost everything they had including their wives and children. The condition of David and his people was such that they had no more power and strength to weep (forget about fighting with their enemies) but David turned to God for help and strengthened himself in the Lord. It is wisdom to turn to God and His word for help in times of trouble, those who turn to God and His word for help never lose.

No one has ever walked with God without paying the price, one has to pay the price at any given time in their life. Many think it is very very easy to walk with God, they walk with God for some time, but when they face problems and challenges they go back, It takes a real man and woman of faith to walk with God till the end.

There will be a winning and losing season when we walk with God. The father of faith Abraham also had a losing season in his life he had to give up his family, friends relatives and place to walk with God, in his later years he had to let go of Lot his nephew and his son Ishmael, but the losing season didn’t last for a lifetime after sometime he entered into the winning season, God gave him the promised child Isaac and after the death of Sarah he married Keturah brought forth many sons and lived a long, healthy and successful life. Abraham’s walk with God started when he was seventy years old in his hundredth year God gave him Isaac and he lived for one hundred seventy five years.

David had a winning season in his life he won the battle with Goliath, he won the hearts of the Israelites especially women they sang and danced for him, but it didn’t last forever he had his share of losing season also, he lost his wife and children (temporarily), his own son Absalom, his kingdom and the son that was born out of his adultery with Bathsheba. David lost many things many times, but he didn’t lose hope in God he always stood strong in the Lord and God gave him the grace and strength to recover back everything, he didn’t lose anything, but he recovered them all (I love the word all).

Jesus when He walked on this earth had a winning season, when He started His ministry disciples and people followed Him wherever He went, He performed many mighty miracles, He healed people of their sicknesses, He delivered people from demons, He raised the dead, people wanted to make Him a king, but there was a losing season also before going to the cross, His most trusted disciple Peter denied Him, Judas sold Him for thirty pieces (just imagine the creator of all the gold, silver and precious things in the universe sold for just thirty pieces of silver) all His disciples except John ran away fearing for their lives, the crowds left Him, He was so much in grief and agony that His sweat turned into blood and an angel of the Lord came and strengthened Him and He went to the cross and gave up His life. The devil thought that it was all over, but it was not over, Jesus rose from the grave conquered sin, sickness, poverty and death and He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and the Father has put all things in heaven, on the earth and under the earth under His feet and He rules and reigns forever and ever.

Beloved do not fear, no matter what you have lost in your walk with God never lose hope, God will give back everything bundled up in a hundred fold measure.

Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospels,

who shall not receive a hundred fold now in this time – houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands with persecutions – and in the age to come, eternal life.

Heavenly Father thank You for the word, thank You for the faith, grace, wisdom and hope that You have given to each one of us, so that our walk could be successful. Lord we uphold every person who is in their losing season of their lives give them the grace, strength, hope and patience to get back everything that they have lost in a hundred fold measure in Jesus name we ask and pray.
